Despite the many MANY issues, DayZ is still the ultimate survival game

JokerMM

Gay porn is where it's at.
There's nothing out there like it, and I hate that I absolutely love it

it's basically a sandbox with absolute freedom and unparalleled level of immersion.
you’ll spend five hours playing, wandering in the forest and getting set up, looting, looking for food and shelter, slowly working your way from village to village trying to find decent gear and a decent weapon, only to hear a footsteps of another player or a gunshot nearby, that to me is scarier than any horror game ever made, the idea that you'll lose literal days worth of progress with a single gunshot in the head.

Glitches are the biggest problem now, even nearly a decade since early access, this game is filled with glitches, you can't even drive a car without being scared the shitless if it's gonna launch you into orbit erasing everything you worked for for days. Zombie are still a mess, and frame rates are all over the place in some areas of the map

This game has the potential to be the top dog of all survival game, if only developers listened more to the community

Used to play the mod intensive back in 2013 (man.. 10 years ago already).

Had some of the best highs (like ambushing people, or finding a player run bloodbank camp) back then. But the boring lows (like running around endless woods, scavenging to suddenly die by randomness) ultimately ended making me stop enjoying Dayz. Did buy the standalone, but I fell off ultimately.
