Where's the proof of GPU overheating?
Points towards it along with some really bad flickering graphics I've seen.

Both of you knock off your antagonism and throwing stones and glass houses. Take it to DMs if your want to fanrage out.
The game just seems to be riddled with issues atm as confirmed by NX Gamer.
[Digital Foundry] COD Black Ops Cold War: PS5 vs Xbox Series X - Ray Tracing, 120Hz Mode Tests + Series S Analysis!
Playing games at 120 on a 60hz tv is still a smoother experience, especially if you have stuff like freesync/gsync. This idea that 120 isn't worth anyone's time is as annoying as the idea that most people don't have 120hz tvs, I got a 120hz TV for under 300 bucks dude. Framerate is always king...www.neogaf.com
There y'go chief.
There is a setting in the Create Menu called Manual Recording Resolution, which is visible when your PS5 is connected to a 4K capable TV. Players will be able to choose between 1920×1080 (default) or 3840×2160. The setting stays until you or another player on your console changes it or connects the console to a non-4K TV.
Are you talking about that?
I thought Xbox had fixed clocks
The post you quoted agrees.Seriously? Crashing typically doesn't have anything to do with clock speed (typically).
What's funny is that people are willing to consider that COD performance issues on PS5 could simply be due to bugs (which all things aside, is very much likely the case), yet only a few days ago in the DiRT 5 thread many of the same people willing to excuse Cold War performance issues as a bug on the dev's end WRT PS5, were giddy as all hell trying to pin the DiRT 5 performance issues on Series X as related to "hardware bottlenecks", or "PS5 secret sauce" (where "secret sauce" and customizations are used interchangeably).
Funny how that works. It's almost like the willingness to not jump to the worst-case when it deals with one platform, is completely thrown out of the window when it comes to the other platform. And yet some here still expect real, genuine discussions and debate to take place?
60 frames is run by 99 of gamers , Nice win for MS!
No differences they said. They were in such a hurry to show PS5 behind in RT mode, they even forgot to download the RT pack for CBS or noticed that it was not working instead of not being present, it reminds me of how they missed the 1080p mode in Black Ops 3 on PS4 PRO... So much for professional tech experts which people want to claim are better than the likes of VG Tech and NXGAMER, only because they suit their bias..... Yet these are the guys doing this full-time.
How is bugsnax, I have not played it yet, but downloaded it last night - got to cheer up this thread somehow
Sure we leave it to professionalIts crazy how Sony fans have literally combed footage for missing light bulbs and muzzle flashes judt to discredit the Xbox version being superior. Would be funny if it wasn't so sad. Even went as far as to call DF shills.
Leave the analysis to the professionals aye guys?

So, I was thinking the other day, this is the first time I have seen such slow and selective coverage at a new gen's launch. El Analista De Bits have pretty much covered all next gen launch titles so far. I was stoked to see his Mortal Kombat XI coverage this morning. I suspect, preparing the opinions and properly curating the dialogue in faceoffs is taking precedent over attention to detail for DF, providing actual stats and more quality like for like videos too.. After such a slow drop of content, even then, the simplest things within the games are missed.
hahahah good oneyou obviously didn’t see the post about the PS5 having things in different places where the PC which has the highest setting has objects in the same place as Xbox.
It defaults to 60 Hz , so that’s standardHalf of gamers don't even know what a frame is lol

Random vs repeatable instances. Repeatable in a scene like the flame in Valhalla XSX dip happens each time flame is taken out with extra shadows and lighting = hardware..
Random dips anywhere is OS related, something else is going on.
Convenient excuse is convenient excuse in my book. Never mind there are other games on XSX where flame and other alpha effects cause nowhere near the kind of drops the flame does in Valhalla, but once again, leniency is not provided here and I wonder why .
It should be more than obvious it is a software issue with the compiled version of the game on Series X likely affected by lack of dev familiarity with the new GDK API tools, but that doesn't have as nice an alarm bell ring to it versus just saying "hardware bottlenecks dude!". Considering the flame effect in Valhalla isn't even particularly impressive or a taxing resource.
Missing things and different are you know different. You cant say its missing things when its just different.the post does not specify that the ps5 settings are lower though do they?
In fact you could argue that the ps5 ones could be higher than both the pc and the xbox as they are the same and are missing so many things?
Didn’t say lower, said objects in different places and what notthe post does not specify that the ps5 settings are lower though do they?

Thats my point
but you can’t also claim PS5 could be higher than pc either

Me too, except I have both PS4 and PC hooked up to the TV and use DS4 on both. I never use kb+mouse for gaming. *runs and hides*
why dont you do the same for all the posts pointing out the differences like they are missing on xbox? you know so people dont naturally assume xbox is missing things?i am not claiming it has, but people will see that post and naturally assume that xbox is, that's my point

Because the PS5 random frame drops on COD looks like a bug. Sometimes, the console just doesn't drop any frame in those same scenes. That's a bug.
Dirt 5 had different graphics settings on Xbox: lower geometry, lower shadows, missing textures, lower tessellation, etc. That's not a bug. That's graphical settings. it's not like sometimes Xbox was showing lower graphics presets and then higher graphic presets randomly.
The devs can obviously patch in the higher graphics settings, but it will obviously have an effect on frame rates. Unless Dirt 5 on XSX was running at 140-150 FPS, the performance will take a hit if and when it uses higher graphical settings.

I like where you're going but the RT shadows in both consoles are identical.
huh?Because it seems to be a huge issue in this game and not so much in the other games, that's why.
huh?
im talking about this game
this thread
the many many posts of cherry picked pictures showing xbox in a bad light
doesnt that tickle you to do the right thing and point out that they are not valid as well?
again so you know no one assumes they are missing as well?
As far as I understand they are (and for some reason everyone close-up screen I see of XSeX and PS5, the PS5 has way sharper images), but the XSeX can run at a higher consistent FPS with RT running? I may be mistaken.
I see you can not be annoyed into neutrality.if it pains you so much, you can add them in, i am not stopping you, blast away dude.

Framerate drops on PS5 is a software bug. They are removed if you reload from the checkpoint.
No one? Really? To be fair, when LOD glitches in headlights were discovered in Dirt 5 for XSX, or tearing in AC: V, no one could call it what it is, but instead highlight it as a win for PS5. War never changes.
So 60fps rt is a tie and 120fps ps5 wins again, dam whats going on here, where is the 12tflops.
Xbox fans sure are unlucky with their PS5s.
Yeah, no. Try not being a fanboi.
These are legit issues showing up because the cooling solution for PS5 isn't ideal--Sony needs to allow for higher fan speeds to keep the CPU/GPU from overheating, which is something in their control via Firmware IIRC.
