Looks like the Doctor has to keep trial and error visiting her with a new haircut and suit and visiting that pretty lights planet until she finally goes away.

Went from silly romp to really sweet ending. Still a bit of Who-lore to make it have the full impact but I don't think that heavy. But nicest Christmas one in a while.

I need to watch the ending again because the fact that River ultimately cheats death was nagging at me the first time.

I have never been the biggest fan of River but I thought this episode was really good, one of the better Christmas episodes that I can remember.
Really pleasantly surprised with this one.

Great episode I did not expect it to get emotional. The last shifty Christmas special was The Widow and the Wardrobe so I was not surprised by its quality. I definitely want to rewatch the Library episodes now. Hurry and deliver season 10 now!

Oh yeah, I kinda had that thought too as in "Why is the Doctor so sad when he actually does save her and even meets her afterwards in the Series 7 finale?" But I suppose it's not the same since she's actually dead and the River in the computer is basically a copy right? Although even more technically, the Doctor we know right now is also a copy from Heaven Sent?
