I would think switch could probably do all 3 versions if they really tried. PS4 version docked and the other versions when portable. The 3ds version needs to come to the Switch. I want that version but not on the 3ds screens.

It's crazy... That's where I stand as well now. PS4 version look great but the 3DS version is more appealing and the combat looks better to me.The 3ds version needs to come to the Switch. I want that version but not on the 3ds screens.

So I missed the PS4 part, what did free move end up being like?
What the hell am I looking at?

I don't think SE will do that, no one will buy the PS4 version then.
Or maybe this is why SE is not talking about the switch version yet?
Best outcome would be if the Switch version had all 3 styles... But that's probably asking too much.

Switch version being the ultimate edition would be amazing. I don't know if it makes sense for SE to do it, but I want it.Man what was up with this low resolution stream? Had the same issue with MHXX stream earlier... Weird.

I really hope we get the 3DS version in the west if the Switch version is just the PS4/UE4 version.

From the interview:
Dragon Quest XI began development just a little over 2 years ago in 2015. Development was originally just the PS4 version, but because they wanted the series to get in as many hands as possible they began developing a 3DS version. They didn't want people playing the 3DS version to feel that they were playing an inferior version, so one of the staff on the project had the idea of having a 3D and 2D mode and got the ok.
They are happy with the PS4 version graphics and the realism it provides which they think goes well with Toriyama's style, but feel if they made it anymore realistic it would lose its DQ-ness.
I agree! Day one purchase for sure. That PS4 version looks beautiful.

The last thing they talked about was a restricted play mode, where you can enforce certain restrictions. The one they showed was not being able to buy items. It would be cool if they could facilitate a solo hero playthrough, or a low level playthrough, or something like that, through this mode.

The theme of a hero being pursued has been there from the very start of development.
Sugiyama was told to prepare himself since they wanted every song in DQ11 to be brand new. They feel as if 1-10 is a separate thing and11 as a brand new start in the series which they say is reflected on both the logo design and the subtitle.
For the record... the hype for this game is real. Will be supporting it whenever it hits the West.
Does kinda pain me that the MC has zero personality or something. That's something I didn't like about DQ9 but then again.... it's self insertion...
In the interview he said basically they are mostly new songs. A bit more than 37 songs or so. lolWell, they obviously failed at this, since we've heard several songs in DQ11 so far, including the ship theme, that are from previous games.
That's every DQ game.

Did that just reveal a fucking release date?
Thanks for the replies.
I'm okay with that. It sounds kind of dumb but at the same time I mostly was just hoping for the classic battles in tact.
Hmmm...is the PS4 footage archived? Don't know Japanese so don't know where to look.
That completely throws out the theory that the PS4 version exists for the west doesn't it? I was already skeptical of that.Interesting it was ps4 only in the beginning

Was there any info on the Switch version?
This is funny because the 3DS version looks to be a more a finished product while the PS4 version is beautiful visually, it looks empty and lifeless.
