It's probably Sheik disguised as a woman
Don't do that
It's probably Sheik disguised as a woman
The child of Link and Zelda.
Look at the seam:
Like I said, it could be a matter of EVERY angle we see of this character being off, but as far as THIS picture is concerned, this Link's hips are undeniably wider than the shoulders.
I don't think that people are saying that this is exactly the same Aryll, but a new Aryll. In the same sense that there are multiple Impas across the length of the series, or how Marin from Link's Awakening shows up as Malon in OoT who then appears again in Minish Cap. The series is really big at bringing back familiar characters in new incarnations.
Because... why the hell not?Why do people want it to be a girl?
I thought after decades of JRPG haters bashing androgynous characters most people would've gotten the memo that Japan has a different take on male character designs.
On the topic of fem-Link. I don't like it simply because if there was a female main character I would like more specificity attached to it. P3P was a perfect example. Female characters in games should be more than regex-ing all mention of males and replacing it with female.
Skyward Sword had a crap ton of tech and robots in one region.
Aonuma is a master troll and understands his fanbase way better than I realized.
Why do people want it to be a girl?
It's constantly brought up these days, but what are concrete reasons that it would improve the game? Is it primarily for the sake of the medium seeming more inclusive?
I don't care either way if it's a female Link, Zelda, whatever, but I also never understand the desire to turn an established character into something they're not (Black James Bond, Gay Spider-Man, etc.)
Obviously if it's Zelda the previous sentence doesn't eactly apply, but the question stands.
I also don't see how blue eyed/blonde hair person is going to magically turn into Ganondorf by the end of the game or something.

Where is this character's sword?
I don't see a sheath or scabbard on this character at all.
The only weapon I see in this character's possession is a Bow.
Isn't "Link" known for having a Sword and Shield?
Something neither this character has in any of the screens or footage.
The only character I know that used a Bow as a main weapon in the Zelda series is Zelda herself?
Rather then focus on the question of the characters gender, why not discuss why this character is showcased with a Bow as a main weapon and not the typical Sword and Shield combo "Link" is known for.
Some food for thought.

I think that body shape is almost an exact match for a prepubescent boy... Or girl. Kids are supposed to be androgynous. And that to me looks like a young kid.Either a very young boy or a female. His/her body shape is way too feminine to be a young boy tho.
Back is arched up because the character is looking up... Those aren't really curves.
A guy with curves like these?
It's probably Sheik disguised as a woman
There's no "analyzing"
The hips ARE wider.
His torso is turned. So yes, his hips are undeniably wider than his chest is thick.
Good point, and as far as I can remember, it's the only game to have that much tech-like stuff.
Similar time period to SS-theory just got stronger.
Gonna say, early part of the game, character doesn't have the master sword yet but has been trained in using bows to hunt and whatnot in all that sweet sweet wildneress.Where is this character's sword?

Maybe it's Link disguised as a Woman!
:O
Padding!
Drag Queen Link, yas GAWD!
This is what happens when you have no real info to disclose for an unfinished game.
Humm
You guys are putting more effort into this than Nintendo did lol.

If they actually unfetter the Link concept and make it a Maiden killing the dragon they have my money. Would be my first nintedno console since my gamecube.
You know a thread has gone to shit when people start posting "#team____".

I'm pretty sure the protagonist in the trailer is left-handed; I know that he or she holds the bow in his or her left hand.
