From Software has 3 internal projects: 1 ARPG ala DS, 1 reboot & 1 new IP

I sincerely hope it's not a Bloodborne 2, I fucking love that game so much but I'm hoping they do a Demons Souls -> Dark Souls style transition, tried a new concept with mitigated risk due to Sony support, was successful, take it multiplat.

You're going to be disappointed. It's Sony's second top rated exclusive and it sold 2m+ copies. It's going to be Bloodborne 2.

Oh my, I can't wait to here more about them!

Project 1: Bloodborne 2? Demon's Souls remaster?

Project 2: Armored Core or Kings Field reboots?

Update from the OP:

Miyzaki's personally wants to make a mixture of fantasy and mech, something like The Vision of Escaflowne

But he did rule out fantasy + mech as one of the working titles.

OMG!

I'm confused in the OP it says AC is one of the projects FS is working on, but then this stuff is here:

Sorry to fans who've been waiting for new Armored Core. Its concept is still charming even now.

I think Armored Core can re-sublimate with another interesting valuable game. And many of our staffs want to make new AC

Personally AC was also what started my career so I have fondness of it. Of course we don't not make a new Armored Core.

Are they working on another AC or not?

They are, as I said in the OP:

I found the last sentence to be a bit weird so I asked the person who translated it if it was a typo and he said that Miyazaki literally said "We don't have an option to not make a new [Armored Core] game."

Their new game will be very important in proving that FromSoft isn't a SoulsBorne factory

Hopefully their new game is very different and successful

Oh, so they do have all three.

Miyazaki spent most of Dark Souls 3's marketing cycle saying they wanted to do 2 and 3 and implied they were stopping Souls games and any type of spinoffs to do so, but maybe he literally meant only Souls games.

Reading that description though I wonder if it's similar in concept, but even more divergent than Bloodborbe 2 would be.

Escaflowne, hmm I'm listening!

God I hope they can bring their Souls magic to other genres and make some more masterpieces. I wouldn't mind an outstanding AC.

Time for the comeback.

If what Verendus says about Sony's deal with From is true, and two of those projects are PlayStation exclusive, then ohhhhhh boy, here we go again.

Hmmmm they could all be to my liking, especially that first one.

<3 From Software

Hope we hear something this E3. Is From Software quite large?

While I'd also love a King's Field reboot, Miyazaki has said before that King's Field is not something he'd like to revisit.

"We always look back at our back catalogue for inspiration for new titles," Miyazaki says, "but when it comes to very old things like the King's Field series, I'm concerned about just mimicking the style of what Naotoshi Zin, the founder of FromSoftware, created for the PlayStation original. I would rather not go back to it simply out of respect."

do not play with my heart jobbs lol everyone would go insane.

this would truly be some of the biggest most impactful video game news in history. my heart would possibly give out

BTW, how was Lost Kingdoms? I see it has a 70 metacritic, (and 70 was worse in 2002 than it is now) but because it's Fromsoft I wonder if reviewers maybe just didn't fully appreciate it in its time

I showed this to a Japanese speaker and according to him, the literal translation of "新作を作らないという手はありませんよ" is actually ""There is no such thing as a hand that does not create something new." Is that a Japanese idiom?

the interview has another bit about the franchise, here.s the translaiton for reference:

「ARMORED CORE VERDICT DAY」から時間が経ってしまっていますし，一時シリーズに難しい状況があったことは事実ですが，アーマード・コアのシリーズを終わらせるつもりはありません。

"After ARMORED CORE: VERDICT DAY, some time has elapsed and while it is true the franchise has experienced some difficult circumstances, we have no intention of ending the franchise."

Damn it.

And now my hype is through the roof.

I wonder what a an Armored Core reboot could possibly entail. For all intents and purposes, every numbered Armored Core game since Armored Core 3 has rebooted the series. Each one ushers in a wholly new setting with a new set of mechs and different game mechanics. So I am a little unsure if a reboot just means Armored Core 6, or if they have a more radical departure from the norm in mind.

None started earlier than May 21 2014 since he said DS3 was the last game that began before he was president. I'm thinking Armored Core is probably farther along than the ARPG.
