Could be a stylistic thing. One because it's not a full screen zoom in, and two because you can see the gun around the sight.
What if...and this may sound crazy...this new Halo formula is more fun?
Please quote the terrorists you're referring to.People hate everything these days.
2 seconds blurry video = let's bomb 343 and kill devs.
Add one mechanic I don't care for = let's bomb 343 and kill devs.
Don't give me exactly what I want = let's bomb 343 and kill devs.
Hey, there's a double jump in my platformer = crap.
There's dual wielding in my fps = shit.
There's nitro in my racer = dead.
Everything must stay exactly the same, forever. Sickening.
Halo is not exclusively defined by absence of sprinting and ADS.
It's not an issue in itself, nothing wrong with the gameplay, but the fact is halo should play like Halo, be it's own thing, CoD can be CoD.
The only redeeming factor is this mechanic may be created as a crutch for bad players. The only problem would be if they force arbitrary shot vectors on players shooting 'from the hip.'
The other problem I could easily see arise is your average Call of Duty player, which is the demographic they are targeting with this change, will get destroyed by even a terrible Halo player.

I am not against Sprint and ADS in Halo.
The reactions in here, and the thread title are ridiculous.
I'm still going to try it, of course, but I've moved from mostly optimistic to mostly pessimistic at this point.

Anyone stop and think that if they are truly adding ADS across the board with all the weapons that there will still be "classic" Halo playlists where there is no ADS? That way you give people a choice as to how they want to play.
Surprisingly after a few months, there will be always such a playlist in the latest Halo game. Why don't they just have a classic playlist that removes sprint, ads, drops, etc?
Halo combat, evolved?
I don't see the problem with incorporating new gameplay mechanics and features. Why should things remain stagnant?
Yes it worked out so well that's why everyone kept playing it.Dunno, sprinting worked quite well in H4. I can't imagine how anyone can be so fucking unbalanced as to really find Aiming Down Sights to be offensive.

I think what annoyed me most about Halo 4 was ordinance drops and load outs because it removed weapon control from the map.
Wait until you see it all. wtf is wrong with people.
Because it isn't?How can some people not see how this is horrible for Halo?
Oh. Well this would be surprising if they actually adhered to this, knowing how many betas worked last gen.
Yeah that worked out great for Halo 4, for the entire community abandoned it for being garbage inferior shit compared to past Halo multiplayer.
