Multiple viable strategies is a bad thing.
It wasn't always an escort mission, Dani was always pretty good at getting it out without being near us.
But here's the thing, while he was doing that, we were usually spawn killing in their base in 99% of the games. All of the objective modes needed a shake up for the average player, the barren playlist was evidence of that. NOW, whether or not any of these changes in CTF/Oddball/Whatever do anything to alleviate population numbers remains to be seen!
Not sure man. Maybe 343 are trying not to further fracture an already dwindling community?
These changes appear to be in place to broaden the demographic.
Maybe once they get a certain number of players consistently on board, they'll make changes to appease the fanatics?

Again I agree with your sentiment, but I'm still not getting how that relates to my examples:
-Having only ONE 8v8 playlist containing a SINGLE gametype isn't consolidation, that's stupid.
-A CTF gameplay change when CTF is already only a single playlist as-is, so any changes to the gametype wouldn't have any bearing on that.
In principle I'm completely on-board for minimizing and streamlining playlists though.

I don't. I never "run in" and throw blind faith. If you notice I generally approach from a neutral position until I get a feel for the subject. From seeing and playing Halo 4 I know know the things I like and dislike.

I have no problem with the waypoint on the flag carrier because most of the time the other team normally know where you are. yeah there are those moments when you can do it undetected but they are rare.
I hope you're not just now realizing this

Show me an example of me just blindly saying I like a feature.
Seriously.
If I see something new, I check it out and then proceed to make my opinion about said feature. If I like it, I defend my position. I never just say "YEAH THAT'S AWESOME AND NO ONE CAN HATE IT" 10 seconds after we see something.

HaloGAF is full of mostly cool people, but it's (relatively) closed off community so there's always there's crazy swings between just general bullshit and then extreme drama and infighting. It generally ends with hugs though, so hey.
Having played a shitload of CTF as my main gametype I completely disagree.
Thinking about it I would maybe be okay with the marker appearing, but not for like 10 seconds to give you some sort of chance of a getaway.

I'm one of the top 10 posters in this thread, wtf happened?? I hadn't been cracking the top 20 in years..
Sprint in the game disappoints me greatly, but the entire experience needs to be consistent. There needs to be just one version of Halo 4's base gameplay, not 15 of them like in a certain other Halo game.
