Hironobu Sakaguchi’s Terra Wars Gets Japanese Release Date, Trailer, and Final Fantasy XV Crossover

Hironobu Sakaguchi’s Mistwalker finally announced the release date of its upcoming mobile game Terra Wars.

Created in collaboration with Arzest, this real-time-strategy RPG will start its service in Japan on July 1, and pre-registrations have been made available on Google Play. The game is set in Hirnobu Sakaguchi’s Terra setting like Terra Battle and Terra Battle 2, but it fast forward ahead about 1,000 years.

One of the most interesting aspect is that the visuals are entirely made in Claymation, creating a really unique look.

It’ll have both a story mode and competitive RTS gameplay with concepts similar to chess where you have to aim to kill the enemy king.

At the moment a western release has not been officially dated, even if it was announced a long time ago (and originally slated for 2017).

Considering that the game’s story comes from the mind of the creator of Final Fantasy, it’s only appropriate that it will launch with a crossover with the Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition, bringing Chocobo, Cactuar, and Moogle characters to the game. This returns the favor for the Terra Wars crossover that appeared in Final Fantasy XV.

Looks okay. I dunno. I don't give a damn about mobile games.

I really wish the Gooch would get a chance to do something big- or mid-budget again. Dude really deserves it.
