Reading the Naughty Dog thread and other thread on jury duty showed me how a lot of modern work is pretty exploitative.
I started a new job some months ago at a tech company and basically decided to keep regular hours. I do sometimes take work home but that's not a common thing. The company has been hiring like mad so the newer employees are changing the culture for the better thankfully.
But if an employer would tell me to work at night from active jury duty, I would flat out laugh on their faces.
How did it get this bad?
