I love pretty much everything about the Gerudo in Breath of the Wild

Which armor set is that? I have a similar one from the 8-bit Link amiibo but it's different.
It's the "of the Wild" set. It's the new hero's clothes, which you receive upon
completing all 120 shrines
.

I like how outdoorsy it feels with the shorts! Although you can also pair the cap and tunic with the Hylian trousers quite nicely.

Some additional screens I took, including an encounter with an assassin disguised as a Happy Mask Salesman lookalike:

Didn't they say DLC Pack #1 would hide new treasures (gear, etc) around the world? If so, I'm looking forward to it, since I love having reasons to explore.

For now, I just enjoy finding new korok seeds (currently at 300-plus... amazing to think there's 900!) and seeking out all of the field bosses (very satisfying to slowly fill out my map with skull icons marking their locations). Along the way, I'm continually gathering materials to fully max out my remaining gear.

But I don't really need reasons to explore. Just tracing the contour of the land, approaching old places from new directions for a fresh perspective, figuring out how everything fits together is a wonderful experience. Last time I played, things started to really "click" for me in terms of how the Faron Woods slot in next to the Dueling Peaks and Lake Hylia, for example.

Between BotW's Hyrule and XCX's Planet Mira, Nintendo is now responsible for two of the most impressive worlds I've explored in videogames, and I say this as a seasoned vet of the open-world genre on all platforms.

Yup!

More Armor
There are 8 treasure chests placed around Hyrule containing armor themed after previous The Legend of Zelda titles. Watch for tips as to the whereabouts of these chests as you travel around Hyrule.

Some more shots... These follow a forested corridor betwixt Satori Mountain and the Gerudo Highlands, snaking around the backside of the Great Plateau.

I continue to be stunned by the painterly beauty of this game's environments. :)

I've had this thread bookmarked for when I finally made it to Gerudo Town - and today I finally did.

First off, amazing screenshots! Secondly, I feel that I need to shout from the rooftops just how amazing the Gerudo indeed are! The sense of culture and history is SO GOOD!

Been working on a Master Mode playthrough. :-D

Some highlights include a dragon's entrance into the world, a stalker skeleton, and a rare polar bear sighting.

Gorgeous screenshots Neiteio, as always. You have a good eye for framing and composition, do you dabble in photography by any chance? Seems like you'd do well in that field/hobby.

I can't get over how beautiful this game is. I recently started again in Master Mode after a month break from the game and I'm spellbound by its beauty as if I'm playing it for the first time.

Thanks. I've done some photography for work (I've been a full-time journalist for over eight years now), but I generally assign that to our photo staff... They're much better at it and know how to frame people in action. That being said, screenshots are much easier to do so since a videogame world is much more predictable. Although I would like to learn more about photography someday.

The capture button on the Switch is a godsend. It's light years ahead of the share button on the PS4, which has a heavy delay for a single screenshot, and frequently misses the exact moment you're trying to capture. It's astonishing to me how vastly superior the Switch capture button is.

Only one concern: The Switch has an 11,000-screenshot limit (1,000 on system memory, 10,000 on SD card no matter how big the card is), and I'm currently at 6,000+. Wish they'd increase the limit.

You can just export/back-up the screenshots to a computer if you have a card reader. Just did that yesterday.

I love the capture button too and I'm also on 6,000+ screenshots, lol. My only issue with the button is that it's difficult to press it while using the left analog stick. I think many screens look a lot better with Link in motion and you need two hands to achieve that, at least in split-joycon and handheld modes (the latter being much harder), I don't have a Pro Controller don't know if it's easier there.

I think if you keep the file names and folder structure intact when copying the screens back to the Switch you should be able to view them in the album. I believe the same worked on the 3DS, and you could even view external images as long as they were formatted and named correctly.

I tried it, copy/pasting the filename structure and increasing the number that changes by 1, but once on the system it said it couldn't be displayed. Hmm.

You could keep some small SD cards around just for screenshots. Probably annoying but a simple workaround. You'd have to keep whatever game you're playing in system memory though. Or! Associate games with the SD cards you use for the screenshots.

I love this thread so much.
Almost as much as I love BotW.

One of my favorite things about the BotW launch experience was the abundance of amazing gifs Neogaf gave us.

Sweet Jesus.

I wish I could go back in time and post these screenshots to Zelda threads, this is the world of Hyrule that dreams are made of.

This game just needed more interior environments a la Hyrule Castle to spice up the variety, they've nailed the art style.

Haha I thought the same. Can you imagine how much we would have flipped out if we saw those images before (or after) that Game Awards reveal?

Maybe the images need to be the same resolution (1280x720?), same format (JPG) and under a certain file size limit to be recognized? There's gotta be a way to make the Switch recognize them. I wonder if it checks for some metadata embedded in the file.

Not sure why this thread turned into a stealth BotW screenshot thread but I agree. The Gerudo in BotW are my favorite depiction of them to date.

One of favorite outfit is from the Gerudo tribe. The Desert Voe amor with the Daybreaker and the Scimitar of the Seven and the Golden Bow matches so freaking well. The colors of the Daybreaker and the shaft of the Scimitar of the Seven works so well with with Voe outfit.

You used non-Switch-screenshots though, right? Try putting actual Switch shots back on there.

It started out as one, just with some text inbetween. :D

I love love love love the early game Yiga clan encounters.

The first Yiga guy i met was just a random guy on a path. It was shortly after someone had told me about the Yiga clan.

Anyways this random guy asked me to join the Yiga clan and I said no and then there was a creepy close up of his face and he said "then you must die".

It was super unsettling. Great touch.

They nailed some horror aspects of this game pretty well, I felt. The
Typhlo Forest
was a concept I want to see further explored in a sequel. This engine and its possibilities are genuinely amazing.

I haven't heard of or found this armor! Just googled what it looks like... I wonder if there are yet more armors that I haven't seen.

More shots, including Naydra (possessed AND cured), Sagessa (I liked her pose), hide and seek with Hinox (he can't see me behind the tree!), and assorted scenery from the Plateau, Dueling Peaks and Hateno regions:

Neiteio, I think you jumped the shark with your last screenshots post. That collection needed tighter curation from you.

You can buy it in town. If you don't know about this one then you also must not know about the perv outfit. :D
What town? I'm pretty sure I checked every place in Gerudo town, except the secret club that requires a password.

I'm still not sure how I feel about the visuals in this game. I don't like how the colors are so often washed out, but some areas / things look so great (fairy fountains and the flying dragons in particular).

I removed a couple shots I wasn't too keen on, so hopefully it's tighter overall now!

Nights and sunsets generally don't look washed out. Neither does day, if you follow the direction of the sunlight rather than looking into it. The washed-out effect is applied to convey distance, I think, much like how blue mountains look from afar. Although sometimes it's the result of rolling mist, which requires careful timing to avoid when taking screencaps. One must also be careful about strands of grass and pollen flying into the frame at the last second, or Link's clothes clipping with his gear!
