I like that now, 8 years and 5 days after episode 24 of Idle Thumbs, Joe Pesci returns to the Thumbs universe to star in yet another buddy cop movie.
Man Chris looks much older than the last time I saw his pic.
Jesus Christ @ Nick's story on this week's IIT. That's definitely a story that would only happen to Nick Bredon.
It was incredible, I was spellbound throughout
This is no defense whatsoever, but I did also tell the reporter I'm totally in favor of pot legalization and what they're doing with the 4/20 festival this year, but also yeah it really shits the place up for a few days and it does suck! They only used that last part.
so, this has probably been covered somewhere
but why did sean go mia on the podcast?

I just finished listening to Nick's amazing murder conversation story. Jesus Christ Nick's stories are outstanding every week.
He completely turned into Seinfeld at that bottle reveal: https://youtu.be/i2L5rVeA314?t=1112
Yeah he basically bounced around between himself, Larry David, Seinfeld, and Morty from Rick & Morty as needed. Masterful.
So did Sean decide he really wanted to sponsor a Dota team for this major tournament? Or did Thunderbirds just really enjoy Firewatch?
Inception and not Total Recall??? Really???
A Local Man for the ages.I do agree with Jake that you need to make it your mission in life to just show up whenever the local news needs a talking head.
Arnold Schwarzenegger can't be the hero of every episode.
The music in Something True this week was so perfect, especially at the beginning. This track, as noted in the show notes:

It's on Jake's account instead of the Idle Thumbs account this time.Is there no video for this weeks episode?

Jake's mention of Great British Bake Off made me so happy. I rolled my eyes when my girlfriend asked me if I wanted to start watching it with her a couple of years ago, but it's actually honestly good. Exactly what Jake said, it's weird how you suddenly realize how many television shows depend on people being a dick to each other.
I hope I don't break your heart here Jake (it's pretty well known over here but I don't know if this news made it all the way to the States), but did you know that Bake Off (as we know it) is kind of over now? Channel 4 bought the show from the BBC, which angered a lot of people because these things matter, and as a result from all that Mel, Sue and Mary Berry announced they'd leave the show. Only Hollywood is staying, and Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig are taking over from Mel and Sue.
All of this really is a bit of a bummer, because once you take those personalities out you just have a bunch of people baking cakes in a tent under a familiar name. It could still be good though - Sandi Toskvig especially is pretty great. She took over from Stephen Fry on QI, and it turned out she's probably the only person who could fill such a large gap. She really is a female Fry - similar sense of comedy, just as smart.
And this was your Bake Off update for the day.
I'd be totally into a new podcast discussing Bake Off every week btw
Our build/bake servers at Campo Santo are named Paul and Mary in memory of Bake off.
Guess I need to post this again since there are some people who seem to have already forgotten after 2 page. Wow, how the mind slips!
"Allegedly"
Opening admitting to sexually assaulting someone(then banning anyone who called him out for it)
Posting revenge porn with their real full names then another admin(a now jailed pedophile) printed the photos and jacked off over them and sent it to the boyfriend.
You're right, how can we even know if he's guilty or not? HMMMM
Also:
I can't tell if you're joking, I know what building refers to in game dev but is there such a thing as baking?
Important If True is pretty new (a dozen or so episodes) so if you don't want/need a gaming podcast you could start from its first episode. Idle Thumbs (the gaming podcast) is less regular these days.I just heard these guys on the Giant Bombcast, they were fucking great -- never listened to one of their podcasts before, I think I've heard them name dropped on Waypoint a few times, too. Any episodes I should listen too as a priority or am I good to jump in with the latest stuff?
You can start wherever, but for entertainment value you could just start at the beginning. They've always talked about a mix of new games and older stuff so most episodes are timeless in a sense.I just heard these guys on the Giant Bombcast, they were fucking great -- never listened to one of their podcasts before, I think I've heard them name dropped on Waypoint a few times, too.
