If you're getting Ps4 pro, are you selling your old one?

Yes, I don't want several versions of essentially the same thing (know it's more powerful but it's still a PS4) taking up space in my living room. I literally see no reason whatsoever to keep it.

Selling my current one is the only way I'll pick one up. I have to decide quickly as the trade in value is already pretty weak. Still trying to determine if it would even be worth it for me for the games I'd play on it.

I'm keeping my OG just cause it's japanese, my pro will be EU, you never know when Atlus decide to region lock something again.

Yes, but I've got a question. Should I keep my old PS4 so I can transfer data to the Pro, or will what I need be available from the cloud? What would I lose if I didn't transfer data?

I'd like to just haul my old PS4 into the Gamestop and trade it in ($100, woo hoo) while I'm picking up my Pro, but I don't want to accidentally lose something on the PS4.

Not holding my breath on a decent trade in deal from GS (nor do I want my Launch Ps4 in the hands of some Joe Schmo) so I'll either try to sell it to someone I know or possibly just keep it.

Your games are associated with your psn account and if you have plus your saves are in the cloud.

Here's a question..

Can we rip our HDD out of our PS4 and throw it straight in the PS4 Pro and get to business?

Nope, the Pro is a nice excuse to buy another one so I can hook one up to the projector while using the Pro in my main setup.

Nope, HDDs are tied to the console and will need to be formatted if put in a different system.

Sold mine a couple weeks ago before the value tanked.. got out with $280

Now my question is if my USB drive with my OG PS4 backup (containing P.T.) will install to the Pro

I'll probably just stick to the one I have now most likely, if I do decide to make the jump I'll stick the uncharted 4 one I have now in my living room since it's a 1080p screen and put the pro in my room which has a 4k non hdr screen.

Nah. I'll move my current PS4 up to my bedroom so my wife and I can watch BR discs instead of just using the Apple TV all the time, as I've got a ton of BRs.

Nope. Buying a new 4K TV and moving my living room TV to the bedroom and the original PS4 is going along with it.

Thank god Sony has a way for us to transfer data from the old PS4 to the Pro quite easily. :D

New 4KTV and PS4 Pro in living with PSVR. I'll be in gaming heaven. Already grinning at the possibilities and the wife thinks I'm thinking of porn or something. xD

We have two PS4s in the house, so I do want to get rid of mine before I get a Pro. But I'm feeling pretty lazy about actually doing it.

Not a chance in hell im trading in this bad boy.

Nope. I keep all my consoles, even if I buy more than one iteration of a specific console.

Guess that explains why I have five Xbox 360's...

I got a PS4 around Black Friday last year, but because none of the games I wanted for it were out or releasing soon, I decided to sell it after rumors of the PS4 NEO (Pro) came out. I got a pretty $325 out of it, and kept the game that came with it. (Uncharted Collection)

All in all, I only lost $34 on the whole thing after having it for almost a year and playing it quite a few hours. Glad I sold it before the value went down.

The PS4 Pro is releasing right around the same time as the exclusives I'm waiting for anyway - Last Guardian, Gravity Rush 2, Persona 5, etc. - so it was a no-brainer for me.

Absolutely. I recently found out that a friend of mine purchased Witcher 3 to play it on his roommate's PS4 and now he's moving out at the beginning of Nov. I floated the idea of selling him mine with a 1TB drive in there for $200 and he seemed down. Seems like he bought a number of games to play on that PS4 so he'll hit the ground running.

Negative, will keep original PS4 for bedroom and travel. Might be time to retire the PS3 in the bedroom, it doesn't get much use these days.

I actually sold mine a week before the event and before the value drop.
Over the weekend I played my PS3 Slim, and remembered how much life it still has in it and really good backlog to finish.

I will buy the Pro at launch, but i feel like that I have to get a new tv with it.
I am not ready for a tv purchase, so I'll have to see how things play out (crossing fingers for a decent Black Friday deal).

Will never sell my MGSV console. Its the only decent looking limited ps4 released so far. I will probably wait for a boxing day bundle for PS4pro.

No. It's too sexy.

Man...reminds you how slick OG PS4 looks compared to Slim and definitely the PS4P.

I hope the next iteration gets anywhere to PS2 Slim levels of amazing (maybe not size but that was my showcase DVD player forever cause of how much I liked the look).

No, will keep og ps4 at 1080p tv and pro with 4k tv. Funny enough, due to my house situation, 4k tv for gaming will be used less..lol

I'm keeping mine and putting it in the other room. Not sure how much I'd use it for gaming, but will use it to watch movies, Netflix, and Amazon videos. I also might give it away to my brother if I dont get enough use out of it though.

Just for those asking, in the 4.0 update, all PS4's will be able to switch data between another PS4 through USB dongle. So likely when Pro comes out, if you get a Pro, you'll be able to transfer everything over directly without redownloading. If you buy a pro at gamestop while trading in your old one, what will likely happen is that they will do the process right in the store for you.

Just because i know its a concern about save data and stuff like that.

Yes will trade in mine to gamestop if they have another one of those 200 game credit promos..I have a 2TB Samsung M003 drive in my current PS4 which I will put in the new PS4 PRO(I dont mind redownloading everything) just wanted to be sure it would work on the PRO..if it does yes absolutely I will get the new console

Yeah only issue with that is that I have a 2TB drive in my PS4 and I want to put that 2TB drive into the new PS4 PRO
