With that title and coming from a MS shill (though one with a good track record of leaking information) such as Brad Sams, I was definitely expecting him to confirm that a XSX Pro was on the way along with some specs and shit.
Very lame to find out that it was a clickbait to 10mins of the man going into why it isn't and shouldn't be a Xbox Pro this generation.
A huge part of the impetus for Sony doing the Pro was - I'm pretty sure - the idea that MS couldn't or at least were extremely unlikely to do the same.
A huge problem for Xbox this gen has been their content pipeline, and adding more SKU's to that would only slow down production further. Just on the basis of numbers of builds needed to be maintained and QA'd, its a significant factor for development,
Impact to dev is a big deal, because support isn't mandatory. Its a mid-cycle upgrade meaning that its as likely to sell to an existing user than a new one, and therefore not going to boost overall sales of a title by much.
More time/expense for minimal benefit is not something especially appealing to third-parties. So Xbox adding another SKU in, especially when sales aren't great, was just not likely to be something anyone would be happy about industry-wide.
Sony are pushing their luck a bit with the Pro, obviously they are hedging it by making stuff like upscaling an easy "win", but I guess they can justify it based on strategic value more than profit.
