A new Grand Prix mode has been announced with the game's appearance on Tokyo Game Show. Fans can look forward to 3 vs. 3 team battles. There is also a new rule called ”Crystal" and new characters with unique skill sets. Characters are from Rumble Roses (Reiko Hinomoto) and Zone of the Enders (Anubis, Jehuty).

It feels so weird to see Konami give their games love now-a-days, that this feels even more unusual. Jehuthy and Anubis are a good cross promotion, though. Super Bomberman R actually has an extended life to it, much better than one would have expected months ago. I hope they continue doing this.

They not only fixed the issues everyone had but they've been giving free character packs since release and now even new modes? Reiko managed to out-surprise pick Pyramid Head! Surprised Konami never tried to turn a profit off that series. Or that we haven't seen Bonk, Twinbee, or Master Higgins Bombers, since those 3 have already been in Bomberman games. Maybe we'll see them with Snake & Yugi next update?

I've not touched it since the first update tho and even then I only tried a few multiplayer games, how does this compare to the likes of Bomberman Live now in terms of customisation and modes?

Oh yeah, Plasma pilots a Twinbee for some reason. Found that odd.

Twinbee not being playable before the likes of Pyramid Head is strange to me, but PH is my main now, so why am I complaining?
