I'm a black male living in the USA, and yeah, racism - however subtle or extreme - sucks, and occasionally does cause me to exercise caution in varios situations. But you know what? It's a sad world we live in, for one reason or another. Some folks are forced to face every day of their lives in fear of it being their last, whether it's due to ungoing wars, starvation, or sickness. Ultimately, it's not only tough being black... it's tough being a citizen of this world!
So as a black male, I'm not going to stick my head in the sand, but I also won't let fear - which eventually breeds hatred - have victory over me. Instead, I'll just rejoice in the moments where even a gimmer of hope exists. So, thanks for posting this...
