This thread is meant purely for voting on the LEGO GAF Custom Model Contest #6. Please keep any and all discussion in that thread in order to keep some order. Including questions to the voting rules, ask them in the other thread please only cast your votes here.

Voting Times
You will be able to cast your vote till
Monday, June 20th @ 11:59PM EST.
The results will be announced as soon as I get around to evaluating all the votes.

Voting rules
Every voter has exactly 6 votes:
- one worth 3 points
- two worth 2 points
- three worth 1 point
You give your favorite Model 3 points the two runners up 2 points each and have another 3 points to distribute amongst the other entries.
By what measure you rate the entries is entirely up to you.

Please use the template posted below for casting your votes. I will add points into a spreadsheet at the end of voting and have a tally to announce the winner.
Voting for your own entry is allowed. Hell I'm gonna do it.

Editing your vote is not allowed. Please think before you post, once I have copied your votes into my list they are final. Also it should go without saying, every member only gets to vote once.

Thank you so much to everyone who entered. It was really fun. A whopping 25 entries! Hopefully we can do another one in a couple months. I'm thinking every 3 months would be good, maybe August.

Mrkgoo's Cyberdog was my favorite entry, with Crispy75's Cuttlefish and Ninge's Bird very close behind. The Cuttlefish is just sooooo cute and the Bird is impeccably made. The remaining three points divided among :Motorbass ( mechanically very impressive, did not think it possible with this set ), Unit 33 ( that is still one adorable Robin <3 ) and Kerned ( one awesome looking beast of a spaceship ).

Very much enjoyed the creativity on display by all entrants and I'm definitely jumping in again next time. ^w^

Similar to PhoncipleBone, I found my first choice and runners up were already in mind, but so many other interesting entries, splitting up the last few points was tough.

I decided I would split up the las remaining points as 2+1- is that allowed? It says can split the remaining points as you see fit, so I have 3, 2, 2, 2, and 1.

Edit: on closer read, it looks like I can't, so I'll edit my vote to be 3,2,2,1,1,1.

Comments:

Ninge: your model blew me away. It was creative, but also really well made. To top it off the bird feeder with the studs as seeds... genius!
Octobot: for me, top vote was between Ninge and your Space Racer. I just love the design, and the build.
Lyrwenne: Again, cool design and idea, and execution.
Crispy75: I like this model way better than your dragon fly! Don't get me wrong though, I wish I had more points to distribute! There're just so many cool models. Inventive, creative, well executed. It'll be a crowd favourite for sure!
:Motorbass: like others, I just went WTF.
Mantis23: it looks like a cool model, but really loved your solution to not having enough wheels!

But yes, love so many other models too. I think this has been a great contest.

For my own entry, I have a feeling the mech would've gone down a bit better in the voting, but I just really liked my final entry a lot more personally. I just found it much more satisfying a model with some actual design and engineering going into it. I'm pretty proud of it.

The caliber of entries is amazing this round. Awesome job everybody! I'm sorry I wasn't able to participate.

I had a really hard time deciding between mrkgoo's gorgeous Voltron lion and :Motorbass' sheer "what is evening happening" fairground ride. In the end, the latter's audacity tipped the scale.

While I didn't vote for it, I do want to point out that Blizzard's samurai temple collection is an innovative, spirited entry. It's really nice to see such interesting ideas among the other (terrific) submissions. I think this is also the only model to use all of the parts.

Chezzymann....that chair is amazing.

Mantis23 - as others have said, your brilliant design is only strengthened by the lack of wheels. Awesome work.

  • 3 points go to :Motorbass for sheer ridiculousness. I'd never think your MOC could be build with those parts. Really thinking outside the box.
  • 2 points to Jasoneyu. Love that Swordfish! Simple, yet really slick design.
  • 2 points to Crispy75, amazing MOC! Liked your dragonfly, too, btw.
  • 1 point to Llyrwenne, very impressed with the "tail".
  • 1 point to Mrkgoo (wish there were more points to distribute ;_;), neat cockpit on it's back!
  • 1 point to Whatsinaname's carnival ride ([wish there were more points to distribute intensifies]), digging the details and the gif you posted

Loved Ninge's bird and Mrkgoo's panther. But I really liked how Phon captured the essence of a tiki head with his build. Those tire eyes are perfect.
