Yep, that is just listing off a bunch of different characters. Not to mention the mission summary is complete fanfiction and contradicts the achievement list put out. Rogue has not been mentioned yet.
I've been keeping pretty close track of all the characters mentioned thus far. It's kinda big, but I can post it if anyone wants. Just updated the file today with the new character select format/order. I can't recognize some of these characters, so it would be helpful if people could spot them.

Dont forget, there is an achievement for getting all Guardians Of The Galaxy mini-fig and the achievement picture shows Star-Lord. So you can easily expect Gamora and Drax to be included as well.

Yeah definitely, would be cool if we got stuff like Adam Warlock too. I think Mantis and Bug probably got left on the cutting room floor but Adam Warlock should be a must! I've been picky with that list, only characters that have been explicitly scrolled over in the character select or used in videos are named, or I listed them as Unknown (or they have been scrolled over, and I just forgot who D

I think I'll be getting this game on PS4. I'm going to try to resist getting it at launch and try to snag a black friday sale or something like that.

All the talk of pre-order bonuses and DLC has made me cancel my pre-order. All I have is a Wii U, and I know better than to count on publishers to give Wii U owners proper treatment when DLC is involved.

Picking this up on Black Friday for my PS4, put something ridiculous like 140 hours in Lego Star Wars TCS back when, this game looks insane though.
Why the heck is Winter Soldier a pre-order bonus? You'd think Marvel would want him spotlighted and in the game on launch to promote the next Cap movie alongside Thor. Oh well, I'll pre-order it just for Bucky!
Also, Richard Fucking Rider being in the game and not Alexander-Nova is great news, at least the devs told Loeb to screw off.

Probably it's both. Seeing as there's "The Dark World" DLC, they probably will have a Winter Soldier DLC pack.
Yeah, they make a quick buck off hardcore fans like myself. Young kids won't know who more than half of these characters are though, good luck getting them interested haha.
EDIT: If I am allowed to beat up the Axel Alonso figurine in-game that would be amazing, I also want to get the chance to do it to Joe Quesada in revenge for for Spider-Man: One More Day.

I managed to play all the previous games on my laptop at 1080p with a decent framerate, I assume this uses basically the same engine so will run about the same as Batman 2? If they decided to stick some next-gen features in there I might be tempted to go with the PS4 version though, despite the inevitably huge price difference, and the fact I'll need a 2nd pad for the gf...

I thought the IM3 Rhodey Iron Patriot was supposed to be a pre-order bonus, what happened with that? Also, have they said anything about the pre-order bonuses applying to the next-gen versions of the games? Not seeing anything on Gamestop's site.
It's only a pre-order bonus at certain retailers. IIRC in the US, it's only for GameStop. Check your local retailers to be sure.
Also, that pack will be available for everyone a few months from now on respective marketplaces. Still super shitty since it also includes Thanos and stuff, but I'm a sucker.
From some early interviews, it seems like they have put extra care into making it so that the engine can handle more things on screen than ever before, so I definitely think it will be a bit more demanding than LEGO Batman 2 even on lower settings.
The actual physical LEGO minifigure is a pre-order bonus, the character is in the game for everyone. That was really confusing early on.
No idea about next gen, but it seems like a given.
EDIT 2 (lol)- Looks like the site just forgot to include that it comes with the extra stuff, I'm going to say that Bucky will be in there. Pre-order reinstated.
It's Archangel (after the first row, they are in alphabetical order; by process of elimination, there are two or so possible spots that could be Nightcrawler).
