Okay, kinda baffled how characters in their mid-to-late 30s or early 40s are incompatible with the series. Characters have grown up alongside their most ardent fans, and now Leon is roughly my age. I say yes.

(Edit: Provided Capcom can give a shit and deliver me mature versions of Chris, Jill, Leon, Claire et al.)

good ol Leon, the biggest dork in RE2. So much so no one wanted to listen to him.

Then they went ahead and tried to make him 'cool' in RE4 lol.

Street fighter is a bit different. Ryu and just about all of the high tier fighters are basically superhumans. Oro and Gen are both ancient in human terms but could tear apart an olympic athlete with ease.

RE is a bit more grounded, Chris punching boulders to pieces in RE5 notwithstanding- they're all just regular people.

Then reboot the series, handing it off to a competent developer.

You know what I find funny that there is someone who made a thread about the age of a videogame character from a game of 2005. I just find it funny, that's very hardcore.

Uhh, okay? You think RE7 will be the last of these characters? AHAHA, that's a good one! Capcom couldn't bring themselves to retire Leon way, way back. So I don't know if they could do it now anyways, especially how no one dies anymore in RE, cept for 1 or 2 people.

Also, RE4 Ada is the best.

Ada Wong is now Leon Kennedy's rival as defense attorney.

Resident Evil becomes a visual novel solving zombie outbreaks and cases.

In appearance, RE6 Leon is the best Leon imo. He got dat stubble going on, and he kept his badass jacket for most of the game. Hell I liked most of the RE6 designs, (except Ada, RE4 Ada still the best.).

But it's at least nice that Capcom is acknowledging that these characters are getting older.

Seeing the ace attorney post above. I'm surprised capcom hasn't tried RE crossovers with their biggest games.

Only one that comes to mind is lost planet 2 and 3.

It's not like throwing some costumes and what not in other games would be a big deal.

That's not that old. That's 4 years older than me. How old are you, kid?

40 year old is the perfect age for a protagonist. Not so old that it isn't feasible that he could run around and shoot zombies. Not so young that he doesn't have experience and isn't someone that you could look up to. Like Indiana Jones on the first Raiders of the Lost Ark. He was 40. As much as the IJ series would have sucked if they replaced Indy with a young adult, I would lose interest a lot if they replaced Chris with a 20 year old.

He was 20-21 is RE2.

Roughly 27 in 4.

35-36 in RE6.

37 is right, or at least very close for current day.

Leon in RE6 was so disappointing.

I wish they would just shoehorn a sequel to RE4 (RE4.5?) which occurs shortly after the events in that game with Leon, Ada etc.

Piers going after Chris instead of Jill or Claire was the dumbest thing ever. But then again I'm kinda happy she wasn't in RE6. Hoping for her appearance in RE7 or any other upcoming RE game. Although if Michelle Ruff is gonna keep voicing her then they can just kill her off. It's enough that they ruined her look by trying to make her look mainstream hot but to also change the voice actress and choose the worst most monotone voice ever...?

But regarding Leon. RE6 is my favorite Leon. "Check & mate, buddy"

Every vehicle Leon has either drove or been in has crashed, with the exception of the speedboat and jetski in RE4.

Police car in 2? Crashed it.
Police escort car in 4? Crashed after he got out of it. (not his fault, but clearly a curse)
A police car, airplane, AND a helicopter in 6? You know the deal.

If it doesn't run on water, don't even let this man near it.
