Even though they were batshit I always liked David Lynch's PS2 adverts. Sony had been rocking bizarre ads for a while but those took it up a notch.

The TF2 example is an excellent example though for a great marketing push.

I always loved the Classy ads for Gears of Wars game (you know, like the mad world one) even tho im not a big fan of the series.

Aw man, I always found those so hard to take seriously. Corny looking meat head GOW dude's running around in black and white to Gary Jules. so evocative

I remember Modern Warfare 2's marketing campaign. it was crazy, the game was EVERYWHERE, it must have cost lots of money, you just couldn't stop seeing articles about the game and it permeated the real world too. In the end, I ended up buying the game at release while hating military shooters. AAA campaign.
