Weapon sounds are way nerfed from ME2's. Are they final?
I'm getting a million errors trying to move any files/folders that were in Vire's download to Horizon, mostly things about invalid headers and not being a valid Xbox360 package. I have no idea how the data file was pulled, either whatever was in Vire's download isn't complete/correct, there is something weird specific with this demo (which seems like it might be the case), or I'm doing something wrong. I'm going to wait until someone figures this out.
That's surprising considering that DICE helped out on the weapon sounds.
Yeah, dunno how it was pulled either, but it typically follows the format of content/0000000000000000/eight-digit number with letters/00080000 - which is why I won't be able to do anything with this I think.
Vire, did it ever look like that when you took it out within those four folders, and you just took the content of the last folder?
WinRAR wouldn't even open it correctly. Was giving me an error. Hmph.
Anyone streaming the demo or put their playthrough up on a video site yet?
No way dude...
Sounds way better.
The .rar worked fine for me, but I was (apparently) one of the lucky few who got it from the original dropbox link.
Yeah, what I got was nothing at all like that, I think this is either missing files/directories or something weird is specific to this demo.
I really wish we could get this to work...
Anyone have a good guide for how you typically rip a demo? I'll try again recompiling.

how did you ripped it?
It's structure looks like a content that can't be shared (XBLA games, etc).
edit: I just saw the demo sharing thread, and it's working. So its not the case. Must be something wrong with your procedure.
edit 2: oh... I just realized that you just plugged the USB stick in your PC and copied the content? It will not work. You need a specific software to rip the content.
Do you guys think there's any way to get the music out of the uploaded file?

This guy is http://en.twitch.tv/sournothardcore
but hes not really being serious anymore. Hes done like 3-4 playthroughs already and right now hes just messing around with the ugliest Shepard possible. Still gameplay though.

I don't know if the structure is locked to your console id. I'll try just copy the content.Alright, what is the software I need? (I'm running Lion OSX)
Edit: Couldn't you rip the content since it's the same file I would be ripping?

What's the size of pendrive you used? 4gb?
So we haven't found a way to put it in the USB or DVD that works yet? I am downloading from that 2nd link right now.
In the ME2 vid he switched to disruptor ammo.

So the We transfer download wont work right? So I can just cancel it now?
8 gb
I found the program USBXTAFGUI - but I can't run it since it's an exe. I tried using Wine but it's giving me all sorts of errors.
Yeah, pretty much.
I'm trying to get a second file going but I'm having a lot of trouble here using the programs since I'm on Lion.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.
I have a mirror of the contents folder you need to burn on DVD
Quote to see.

Man...BioWare really has some of the worst UI design I've ever seen.
EVER.
Gambit thanks for the link. So just download that, burn it to a cd and it will play? Any chance we could be banned?
Will try. Gonna take a while to D/L, however. Either my connection or the hosting, I'd bet on the former.
Gambit - WetTransfer seems to be pretty damn fast for people. Maybe you could upload it there?
