He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.
More than half of the DS games are from 3rd parties? B-b-but 3rd parties don't do well on Nintendo systems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems like a 1st party game flopped... non-games a fad confirmed?

100% of the PSP games on the chart are 3rd parties. Which do you think looks better in the long run?

You forgot to add that 100% of the PS3 titles on the chart are 3rd parties as well.

Obviously 3rd parties do better on Sony platforms.

With New Super Mario Bros still in the top 10, Super Paper Mario is going to sell gangbusters.

With weekly sales data, it's odd to see the 360 preparing to sell an even more expensive sku, when it's obvious, especially in Japan, that fun and cheap is selling. It's like both Sony and Microsoft want a dedicated fanbase like Nintendo, and now Nintendo, oddly enough, is trying to go mainsteam.

We probably should be checking on the availability of Yoshi's Island DS. Other than that, and the games/systems tracked last week, I don't see much that is likely to be supply constrained.

Ok, I added Yoshi's Island DS to the list. Anything else?

List right now:

Wii hardware
PS3
DS lite
Layton
DQM:J
Yoshi's Island DS

Great continued sales for Yoshi's Island DS and Professor Layton. DBZ and that Word Puzzle game get solid sales this week as well. Wii games get a nice boost, selling noticeably more than they have the past couple of weeks. On the Sony side, Monster Hunter Portable 2 is showing legs, and Gundam Musou hasn't dropped like a rock like every other PS3 game on the market. I guess that's more because of the lack of new games than anything, though.

There's a lot of releases next week. More English Training, Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix, the Digimon games for DS, and the baseball game for PS2 I expect should do the best.

Well, More English Training is out on the 29th... so check that one out.

Microsoft's new console is selling more software than Sony's new console in Japan. I say Wow. Isn't that one of the 7 signs of the Apocalypse?
I guess the fact that it just launched doesn't really mean anything in the grand scheme of things, eh? I don't think we'll be seeing it on the charts next week.

Naruto & TOEIC Test have been doing extremely well on amazon lately as well. I think it'll be a lot more new games/non-games in the top 10 next week.

Yeah, chill out Ninty fans. Don't get on his case for his mistake and loose lipped assumption. For shame...

Anyway, great going for Yoshi, holy crap at Musou Orochi...what is this game actually? 400K+ is nothing to sneeze at though. WiiSports and WiiPlay kicking ass as usual...Nintendo really needs to hurry and push out their other accessible titles, although maybe it will make more sense when stock is plentiful?

I can check. But it just launched today so unless it is a massive hit, there will still be units on the shelves when I go. (around 4:00pm). But I'll definately keep an eye on it next week.

Not this shit again, seriously. Games built for the DS from the ground up have seen great success. This is only a recent phenomenon, and if you had been following these threads recently you would have known that. Why would it be any different for Wii?!

Yea.

Nor are the Wii only titles like Red Steel or games that started on the Wii like Rayman's Rabbids. (Which is a decent game.)

These are the #2 and 3 selling games on Wii in North America, aren't they?

Rayman and Red Steel are the number 1 and 2 ranked third party games in the US respectively, behind Zelda and Wii Play's first party efforts. Similarly, to think that these titles would be gangbusters in Japan is retarded.

Those two were quite successful if I remember correctly, though...

They did, it took them 10 freaking years to realize that being arrogant bastards helped the competition.

No, I'm not saying you should check if there are any left, because of course there will be.

I meant see if you can find out what the store allocations for it were >_>
I'm sure you'll have no trouble asking Mr Gamicom Dojo Guy, or that porn fronting place (with which you must be very familiar), but I just thought I'd ask.
