Need a full week off work when this comes out, and i'll shut myself from any internet to avoid spoilers. It will be glorious haha

I'm so worried that this game is so big that something will get spoiled for me mid playthrough. I might have to sabotage my modem.

I think the reason I'm looking forward to this game so much is that I'll be playing as a not so good guy but that it seems kojima won't be lionizing BB. At least not like some other games out there.

Like, say, Peace Walker did? Big Boss is an interesting character in that secondary villains of the series genuinely see him as a good dude. I think we've moved past enough of the hero worship where it's finally time to see him do some awful things.

My prediction for Taipei:

Main game co-op/multiplayer mechanics.

What would you guys think of an updated Comrade System, similar to Portable Ops, and maybe updated to character switching like GTA V? Or PW's co-op missions (primarily side ops). Or both?

We already have an idea of how the Buddy System works, with calling in major characters for assistance, but there may be more to it than even simply having them take specified positions. Maybe you can take control of D.D. and use his sense to find things in a side-op. What other features around this can be speculated?

Furthermore, what incentives could there be for Mother Base invasions, besides the
What a
thrill? Can multiple people raid one base simultaneously?

Damn I'm just making myself more anxious now.

So I've finished Metal Gear Solid 3, Peace Walker, MG 1&2 and MGS1. I started MGS2 a couple days ago but felt burnt out by the time I got to Dolph's speech. Am I a bad person? I'm having a hard time motivating myself to press on because I haven't been in the mood to listen to Raiden whine. This is terrible, because MGS2 is definitely my favorite -_-

My prediction for Taipei:

Bullshit happens..
The hype train won't get me this time! My heart is still bleeding because of this f***ing chicken mask.

I lucked out because I was too busy over the holidays to pay attention. I actually forgot about the KojimaStation until the next day. Needless to say, I wasn't surprised that we got the fiddle.

I quit playing MGS2 about a week ago around the Emma section because I wasn't in the mood to do the underwater/escort mission. It's ok to take a break and play more Ground Zeroes.

I just wish PP was out already. I'm being torn apart here ;_;

Up until the very end, I didn't feel like PW went too dark with Big Boss. It never went too deep into the seedy shit a band of mercenaries gets into. Every trailer for TPP however, shows off the horrid actions (specifically the torture and child soldiers) that's going to be committed by Big Boss's side.

Knew what it was before I even clicked. He's working on a voice over for the MGSV release date trailer we will see on January 31st!

If I ever post something in Japanese which I don't understand, please BAN me.

On the other hand, why should he not be allowed to talk about it? i mean it's no secret that he's voicing Kaz, he also posted pics from the booth a while ago.

He's probably not talking about MGSV.

Speaking of Kaz, I always thought it was really cool that RAD sounds incredibly similar to Cam Clarke as Liquid impersonating Master Miller.

Yes, I was pretty impressed by that too. He's clearly a talented voice actor even if he couldn't sell that fiddle line. Although, I'm not sure there's an actor out there that could possibly accomplish that.

The Venom Snake figure is so fucking cool, does anyone here have one?

They're expensive as hell, but I'm really thinking of getting one. Somewhere.

Sn4ke most definately has one. Maybe even two

MGS 2 experts, I' ve always wanted to know this, what happens if you don't
get the thermal goggles from the water in the beginning and get to the mine section?

When I first started Peace Walker I thought they might be the same actor. Of course, some quick research figured that one out for me.

...don't tell me I missed those! I can't remember them but it's been a while since my last playthrough.

It just seems like not getting something like that would make your progress obsolete in a game where you have melting ice cubes. Maybe Snake tells you to get them? Take one for the team and find out

lol, that's why I'll be playing the game till I finish the SP missions atleast and then i'll come on GAF to write my thoughts about everything as well as check all the other opinions on GAF. When MGS4 released, I didn't own a PS3 at the time, just the Xbox 360 so after a few months of the game releasing I visited my cousin and played the game from 9:30PM all the way to 5:00PM the next day and I had to stop after the Ocelot fist fight. My face was like this after playing through the whole game and that was not because of being tired.

after that I had to return home because tomorrow is school so I returned home and watched the rest of the ending on youtube and then went to bed feeling happy, sad and just overall bitter sweet.

MGS4 was such a cathartic experience for me the first time I played it. Maybe it's because I've been playing the series ever since 1999, I'll never forget the experience of playing MGS4 for the first time. It's my favorite MGS game but for very different and personal reasons. Technically, MGS3 is though.

It never did, at all. To be honest.

The most 'shady' thing BB did, was illegally own a nuke.Aside from that, he ran a mostly legal business.

Those feels brother, those feels.

Edit: Holy fuck. I just remembered something crazy. I just started the plant chapter, and Rose makes her introduction. Rose sounds just like the girl I was dating at the time of this games release! It's not just me that thinks that, my friends used to tease me about it back in te day. Especially because they were both nags lol Dat nostalgia. Doze feels.

MGS always catches onto you with those feels when you least expect them.

Finally have 100% completion on the PS3 version of GZ. I already had all the trophies but wanted that 100% Completion on the main screen. :>

Had to unlock the Gray Fox skin in the Deja Vu mission and needed an S rank for the Save Kojima mission on Hard, which is a pain in the ass on the PS3 because of the awful analogue sticks. And the analogue sticks on my DS3 are extremely loose after years of use, which makes aiming a nightmare. Still managed to pull it off somehow, lol.

Man, that feels gooood.

It goes deeper brother. This was the girl I lost my V-card to. Just like an intricate web spun by Kojima, my feels related to MGS are very complex. Yes brothers, she was gorgeous. In fact, hotter than ever at this very moment.

Very nice!

I'm slogging through that myself. I still need to unlock on trials and it is such a slog, but I do want to get 100%. Just having to mark every enemy though, ugh, please.

hmmm, i dunno. i think he's just saying to give kiefer a chance.

although i would love for hayter to be in the game, i was really upset when he was recast.

actually he's just thanking him for the blurb in there that's actually about him

He then talks about David Hayter and how he may have felt when he was replaced by Sutherland. “I really think it said a lot about the industry the fact that there was so much backlash. I know that David felt a lot of love from people. I think he felt more love than he did anger like other people’s love for him outweighed any anger that he felt but we really don’t have like Charles Martinet who’s been voice of Mario since day one but do we really have another actor that has been assigned more to a video game role more than David Hayter? I don’t think.
