I called my brother immediately because he works on the 12th floor of a building, he said that as they were running downstairs the lights went off and that dust started to fall from the ceiling, he sounded pretty scared but he's alright.

I'm in the city and yes, most of what has been posted in the thread is from Mexico City. I've read the destruction in Puebla was significant too

Mexico City is literally built on a lake iirc. I hear that makes tremors worse since it's dried up and the sediment is unstable.
