With GPUs and consoles requiring more and more memory bandwidth, this will be a big jump in performance.
Next gen consoles and GPUs will very likely use this memory.

128-bit @ 36 Gbps: 576 GB/s
192-bit @ 36 Gbps: 846 GB/s
256-bit @ 36 Gbps: 1152 GB/s
320-bit @ 36 Gbps: 1440 GB/s
384-bit @ 36 Gbps: 1728 GB/s

Can't wait to see those temps, 6X got hot AF.

GDDR6X used PAM4 signaling.
GDDR7 will "only" use PAM3 signaling. So it will probably use significantly less power.
If ever they decide to make GDDR7X, using PAM4, then it will be as hot as GDDR6X.

RAM speeds really are accelerating compared to what we got with GDDR5 for so many years.

My guess is GPUs will start using narrower memory buses coupled with larger caches because cache hits lead to lower power consumption (leaving more power for clock boosts).

It also looks like we're reaching closer to a handheld with the same bandwidth as the big 2020 consoles.
2025 for a handheld PS5 using 96bit GDDR7 38Gbps?
