They might have taken over whatever MS Victoria has been working on, since Microsoft people said those projects haven't been abandoned, but it could be anything, really.

LEAP, however, is more nebulous: it's an "incubation team," identified as "the people that developed Kinect and profoundly changed the way people interact with technology." It sounds like some kind of think tank for games -- but one that is making a game right now, as it needs a level designer.

I knew it sounded familiar. Badass logo.

Ive been thinking about this and find it quite strange. Presumably its a small developer? I can't see them having a big team thats been beavering away on a large scale project that we didn't really know about...

Oddly, MS have a few other studios like Good Science, Playful Learning, Xbox Live Productions that we know nothing about what they're doing or if they still really exist.

Strange situation, shame MS aren't giving us any answers on twitter

Sounds like this team is working with hardware and software.

It makes it sound like the Kinect was the first thing they helped work on so maybe they are looking at bringing out a new product/service/attachment. Maybe this is the team that Alex Kipman and/or Kudo Tsunoda are/were in.

Perhaps some unannounced VR peripheral that works in coherence with Kinect somehow...
