"nationalist rally" purportedly set to take place at University of Toronto on Sept 14

This shit won't fly in Canada.

These assholes may feel emboldened by Trumpollini but they have even less support here than in the US.

They're just trying to get publicity and if they recruit a few people they'd be doubling their numbers.

Toronto isn't pefect, but the world lives here. Anyone who wants to host a pro-racism rally here better be ready to put in some work. I can't imagine a worse place to pick.

Good to know UoT continues to be the joke of the city. And those people have the gall to talk shit about the other universities.

At least Ryerson and York don't have Nazi rallies.

The University told them no?

This is probably going to be 10 nerds standing on the sidewalk outside Sid Smith getting yelled at by everybody who passes by.

Did you even read the OP? UoT is not hosting the event.

Sooooo... is this actually legit? Or are a couple of thousand counter-protesters going to show up to a non-event and then have to peacefully demonstrate to kill time while someone on the Internet types "Neener, neener, mada ya' protest, neener!"

I hate to make it so current, but I love the Moana song where she goes out to the sea.

Outside of that, I really like The Little Mermaid song where she is going through her collection of artifacts.

Somewhere Out There, Great freaken. song. Oh wait not Disney, well still awesome.

Look at this stuff
isn't it neat?
Wouldn't you think, my Nazi collection is complete?

Ah, my alma mater, this shit won't fly there.

Despite how the optics of the Jordan Peterson thing have been interpreted, and may have appeared, the student body as a whole is can be pretty ambivalent, and the school at large isn't much of an activist bastion.

However, if this rally were to take place, I think you'd see a massive engagement and counter-protest from students from all faculties who wouldn't normally engage in protest. This is the shit that will get UofT students attending for only the most instrumental reasons to come out and express themselves.

The page also says "anyone who violates the freedom of expression or the physical well-being of another person will be immediately escorted out and handed over to law enforcement."

I'm reminded of that dorm bomb threat thing on a website which offered both English and French.

Hopefully these people can continue to stay peaceful, and in small enough numbers that no one has to do more than point and laugh to deal with the situation.
