Congrats, Flowers!!!! (And how fitting that my last entry "spelled" flowers. It was a premonition!)

Seems like Ourobolus would have an advantage this round...
True...!

I have an idea left over from the first one of these challenges I ever entered that'll work...
How do you even remember that?

Tagging. I really wanna write a story for one of these challenges. Just need to sit down and do it.
Well your avatar makes this intention sound promising.

Tangent tried to talk
Awesome Alliterations and
Newtonian, Nay, Nägeli Nonsense.
Gaf gave girl
Enraptured encores.
Now new naissance
Take Tangent to treats, tykes... tangents?

Holy crap, that was impressive. I can't believe you just busted that out. Interesting you should mention poetry. I know feedback suggested my piece was on the poetry side of the spectrum, but it's funny: I didn't even really realize that as I wrote and submitted. I'm a little afraid of writing poetry actually.
More so than writing in general.
I like reading it, though. (Even though I don't.)

What, you don't remember stuff like that?

Certainly not. Soon, my last entry will fad out of memory. The one before is already lost on me. I have no idea what the heck I wrote. I certainly have no idea what I wrote in the first few challenges I participated in. Maybe you're better at remembering because you have a million drafts? Though even though I don't have drafts, the prompt is on my mind for two weeks...which is sorta annoying! I wish instead of the prompt being on my mind, there was writing on paper!

I'm hoping the secondary will tempt Tangent out of parental leave!
Haha, do I use visuals a lot? :) It is true that I'm far more of a visual and conceptual thinker than an auditory thinker. It's odd that I'm trying to get more into reading and writing. (Well except it makes sense to work on a weakness, so in that way, I'm right on!)

Now did Crunch say his wife was having contractions or did I imagine that?
The puns are endless! :) I feel like I remember Crunch said that he became a dad about 4 months ago? Maybe I'm making that up though.

How do you guys write? What process? Do some of you just have a basic idea and sit down and bang it out and fix as you go? Do you do an outline? etc etc

I jump from the two. Recently I've been experimenting a lot with outlines and notes. I just finished the first draft of my story this week, and I did some extra stuff besides a basic plot outline. Outlines are good, but ultimately I had to sit myself down and really force myself to finish it in one go.

I get an idea at a random moment and write the whole thing. Then I edit for grammar and spelling. Drafts are for suckers.

Ah the good old Plotter v Pantser debate.
I've learnt to fall in love with both tropes.

Oh yeah, so I should mention that I'm out of town this weekend and so won't be available to host the hangout. Anyone who feels like stepping up should feel free to do so. All you need is a timer and to remember to post the link on Sunday!

Bu...but how are we going to get any writing done without Cyan's timer of doom. Without it we're just gonna talk about space porn for two hours...

Oof. I had something on deck but I've already lost most of this week to a personally devastating event that I just can't shake sucking my will to write anything at all right out of me.

This is a first.

The Circle:

I look into the mirror and see it feeding. Feeding first on excreta, then blood, and then the sexual fluids. Diving further and showing things I did not wish to see. It is a tool come alive, like a holy blade or a blessed atomic weapon. It becomes an extension of man's greatest achievements. And I was its creator.

I had envisioned the perfect fuck tool to merge the animal with the sexual appetite. To find that forgotten idea of nirvana through a purely physical means. Beyond BDSM and philosophy. And beyond the imaginations of the most unashamed pornographer. This tool would be able to change it all. Where one would cum over and over and see their god every time.

BRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEE

That horrible noise whirs. It burrows further. The coils change shape and become razor blades. I feel as though I'm drowning in the midst of an orgy. There before me, with each bit of pain and release of semen, I see more and more religious iconography warping into something new. The image of Saturn Devouring his Children merges with Magdalena holding the body of a dead god, and beyond that image are falling stars in super nova expelling millions of rivers of blood.

BRRRRRREEEEEEEEE

It travels further. Now to meat and finally to the heart. How I still live I do not know. In those super nova blood lakes arise a new being bedecked with jewels and dark features. It tempts me to look inside

BRRRREEEEEEEEEE

and I see a new universe being formed and just as quickly destroyed by an ultra violent magnetic cloud swarming. Again and again I see birth and death a million times over in a heart beat. The being pulls me closer

BRRRRREEEEEEE

and clasps my chin and holds me up. I writhe in a new and horrible pain at being lifted. The being removes my head from my body and I see a new sky.

At that moment the device finishes, removing the accouterments from it's new body, joining the ends together and walking away as a new man.

I've wanted to give one of these challenges a shot for a while. Ouroboros has given me some ideas, so this seems a better time than any.

Have wanted to do this for so long, and finally I was ready to sit down and do it. Went to open Microsoft Word only to remember that I have yet to get Microsoft Office for my new desktop *sigh*

Finished my feedback for last round. Sorry it took so long. I hope it's worth your time.

And sorry to hear about whatever happened to you, Mike. Good luck dealing with it.

I knew I shouldn't had written those critiques/comments/musings.

Hope everything works out in Mike town.
Everything's fine, I just had my inner muse curbstomped by an unfortunate incident. I'm a few drafts behind, but I hope to have something done today.

Also, so people know, we're doing a writing hangout(via Google hangouts) tomorrow(Sunday) at 2pm Pacific/5pm est.

Want to sit down and get some work done with friends? Join us! Need a few hours to cool down from all the marriage equality partying? Join us! It's fun, and a good chance to sit down and focus in case you're afraid you might let the future week slip by.

Edit: hangout in less than two hours. See you soon

Was reading some of the mafia thread write-ups I made about 10(!) years ago. Terribly biased, but I was pretty impressed with some of the writing I did. It's gotten me interested in this again.

Too late to get in an entry for this challenge but I'll be in the next one.

There once was an ouroboros from Nantucket
Whose tail was so long he could suck it
He said with a grin,
While wiping his chin,
"No voting necessary"
