This is what I do for most major titles these days, and pick up digital stuff on the cheap.

The only "must buy" stuff ends up being XSeed/Aksys/Atlus/NISA when I know the print run is gonna be small

....still bought 80+ games, damn you indie bundles!

No point in buying new games unless you plan on playing online. New games get discounted insanely fast. Most of my single player games I pick up for 10-15 bucks these days. Its best to hop on online games while they are fresh to the community and cause of the new trend of unlocks - you wont fall behind.

Have you tried joining the other thread that was made about this where a lot of people are trying to not buy games in 2012 (unless they follow the escape clause)?
