Is there any lag that you experience? I don't mind being looked at as an outcast lol, I'm far from hardcore enough the care. Rumble is more than enough for me to enjoy Fozza over using a controller..I just can't justify the cost of another wheel (already own a T500 and a DFGT)...I can enjoy real FFB on PCARS and eventually GT7 on the PS4...
There's not really any noticable lag imo(
look at my input in my vids to the in-game, specifically when shifting as i think that is the best example of how little lag there is, they are pretty synced), maybe 5-10ms actual lag? I say "not really" because I think the biggest thing you will notice is since the game thinks you are using a gamepad, there will be filters put onto the steering by design. Specifically in Forza 5/Horizon 2, these filters keep the gamepad users from turning too sharply and going beyond the threshold of friction on the tires to the road surface, even with simulation steering assist, so there is that to consider.
It takes a bit to get use to, but once you get comfortable, the setup can be quite competitive. I have a few
multiplayer videos on my channel from Forza 5 and Horizon 2 as well as a decent little hotlapping session at Road Atlanta in which I get loose a couple times and make some decent corrections. I also didn't know much about heel/toe when I did these vids, so I have gotten a bit better since, hehe.
If you are still unsure of anything, just ask(you can pm me as I think they are annoyed with us at this point), or you can hit up the official forum as we are quite a helpful bunch(fyi, i'm a volunteer mod over there, please don't burn me at the stake).
All in all, does it beat an officially supported FFB wheel?!
HELL NO, but it still can be damn fun anyway
