First time playing Mega Man X2 on SNES, damn, this is a technical tour de force. Really seems to be pushing the hardware. It still bothers me that Mega Man can't shoot up or duck, but I guess I just have to learn to get over that.

Looks like a pretty crappy week. But it definitely shows that Wii U and VC are dead. Why doesn't Nintendo approach Square Enix to release its games on VC over here? If this is all they have for this holiday, Nintendo is doomed.

On the bright side, maybe this means there'll be a Direct this week to showcase NX.


I'm still waiting for the new Shift game, hope it comes this year.

wtf, so I got home & wanted to do my daily Pokemon Shuffle check in, but for some reason, my New 3DS isn't wanting to connect to the internet & keeps giving me the error 003-2101. Any word on what might be the issue? I tried deleting & making a new connection profile, resetting both the router & modem, but nothing seems to be working. Absolutely nothing has changed since the last time I had it connect to the internet.

Tried that twice, even rebooted the modem as well. Went so far as to reset the router by pushing the button on the back. Still doesn't work. It can connect to the access point, so no idea what could be the cause.

Ahh, so it wasn't just me. Had the same problem (with Badge Arcade, and eShop) and it was fine once I got to work. Will have to try again tonight when I get home.

...holy shit, Breath of Fire 1 and 2 on 3DSXL. AMAZING.

It is still frustrating that Capcom does special pricing deals or buy 2 get 1 free for SNES VC in Europe, but NEVER in NA.

And nobody seems to mention it or complain about it but me.

Excited for Chase Investigations tomorrow! Not sure why they didn't take the opportunity to put Hotel Dusk and Last Window on Wii U, but I suppose they don't see the chance of cross-promoting a small eShop title with bigger titles from the Dev on another console...

How is Wild World? I haven't played any other Animal Crossing games before, but I have had a little exposure to the series with their inclusion in MK8 and Smash, and the setting/characters seem pretty charming. Would this be a good title to jump into the series?

Either get New Leaf or just wait until ACNX. You can burn yourself out on Animal Crossing due to its nature of daily routines and slow pace. While the price for a VC game is more "let's check this out"-friendly, the timing is suboptimal and thus I'd just recommend you either wait for the proper next one (that would then take full advantage of the "at home" and "on the go" aspects of what NX seems to be going for) or go with New Leaf.
