This one interests me the most. I thought they were meant to move in months ago. What happened?
If memory serves, the building was only finished in February. They'd then need to get all the equipment in there and so forth, decorate etc.

Well, if there's one thing people can't say Nintendo is bad at, it's crafting games, so we should be confident about the gameplay of those games
I agree but I also fear the price. Nintendo have a strong reputation for trying to extract the maximum amount of money from it's users as possible.

How much did the pokemon NFC figurines cost? I dont think they were ever avaliable in Sweden.
There is at list one sure good thing, they said they will use the same figurines for more games, that should provide some value.

Iwata- not hopeless or at a loss in coming up with something new but unless existing users satisfied we cannot release next hardware

Iwata - we are preparing for next generation hardware as always doing, when release? Difficult to declare..

WiiU target of 3.6m units will need more manufactured than in current inventory, no loss from hardware any more, more games at E3

Yet the toys and trail mix is the core of Nintendo?
Dude stop trying to muddly the waters.
Skylanders isnt a core part of the PlayStation or Xbox business.
Which means nothing to someone that doesn't like most Nintendo developed games anyway.
What does this mean exactly ?
$4 in America, £4 in UK.How much did the pokemon NFC figurines cost? I dont think they were ever avaliable in Sweden.
But Brain Training is still there. These lists are never good indications of what will actually happen only what has been announced to happen. So, SMT 4 disappeared in the upcoming release list but SMT X Fire Emblem is still there.
Anyone know how long it usually takes for the Q&A transcript to appear? But we will get also the Q&A transcript later so we can see if there are more details.
I believe it took like 5 days last year. The briefing was on 25 April and the post here on GAF about the translation was on 30 April.Anyone know how long it usually takes for the Q&A transcript to appear?
I am quite interested to find out whether Iwata really did say they would make a new console for emerging markets or not. There are conflicting reports going around.

Thanks for digging that up!I believe it took like 5 days last year. The briefing was on 25 April and the post here on GAF about the translation was on 30 April.
TEdit: Thanks KingSnake. Two days then . Well, still 5 probably with the weekend.
As I said in the other thread. This really is it for me. The future of Nintendo is Health bars and fucking toy memory cards? Count me out.
I am really weighing up whether to trade my WiiU in now while I can still a get £100 credit towards an Xbox one, or to stay the course just so I can play bayonetta.
It really depends now on What Microsoft shows at E3. I love Platinum but honestly, I can always buy Bayo at launch and pick up a dirt cheap WiiU in a year or so. I don't have to play it the moment it releases.
Nintendo fans seem to be happy with the direction Iwata is moving the company but it sounds so wishy washy and aimless to me. Not only that, even if Nintendo was to turn things around , 90% of games on the console would be things I don't like. The third parties aren't coming back. As for Indies, meh. There is more than enough on PSN, live and steam to go round. Sorry curve studios.
I'm done.
Seriously. If someone posted this shit about Sony they would be banned by now. It's hyperbolic bullshit. Then do it. Trade in your Wii U or sell it or whatever, then stop posting your Nintendo hate drivel in almost every Nintendo-related thread. Jesus.

I really hope Nintendo has more planned for the Wii U than Kart and Super Smash Bros =/.

There was a slightly inaccurate one burried in this thread somewhere. I'd suggest insteadOK this is a side not but
What the hell happened to OP's putting a synopsis/summary in the First post after an event?
You guys are SLACKING
Seriously though. Whats the scoop in brief?
Of course there will be a price cut at some point. Just dont expect it until year's endSo they're no longer selling the Wii U at a loss.
Does this mean they could afford a price cut sometime in the future (I already own one, I'm just curious)?

Reading the slide titles and full bits of anything that catches your eyes

...or maybe he actually wants to play it?Dude, spend your money how you want but please realise Platinum are unlikely to see any of that money, they already got paid and any slight royalties they might by entitled to will depend on the game bringing in more than was spent (unlikely). It might be better to send them some flowers or something.
But then again copies of Bayonetta 2 might be so rare it turns into a collectors item.
At this point, they don't have much choice other than to stay the course and retain any novel strategies they may be developing and use those on the next console. No point going all in on a bad hand.OK just caught up and WOW
What a WEAK strategy
At least for saving WiiU
I mean the WiiU/3DS are finally going to get some of the great games we have been waiting for going into next year but DAYUM are they slow
If they REALLY want to compete they need to learn to be more nimble and reactive. Unbelieveable how little of a shift they showed in this presentation
...or maybe he actually wants to play it?.
No new console in the next period. And considering the NFC thing for 3ds that will be launched next year probably also no handheld.
But we will get also the Q&A transcript later so we can see if there are more details.

When is the next period though ?
Anyway, Here is my idea for an advertisement for mario kart 8. Screen shows young kids playing mario kart 64 multiplayer on an old CRT TV and then the game and people slowly change to the current day versions of themselves, playing mario kart 8 around a flatscreen. The screen then shows a guy alone, with a headset on, playing some generic shooting game. roll some mario kart 8 footage. "It's more fun when your doing it with others". bam. where is my award.

Well the thing about NFP is that it isn't limited to a single game series. Why do I have the feeling that Nintendo isn't going to properly support NFP?
Nintendo hasn't been the type of publisher to adequately support an ecosystem over a long period of time, VC is a perfect example. NFP really needs yearly expansions and this runs counter to the culture at Nintendo where their software cycles span 2-3 years between iterations.
I don't see Nintendo changing their software development life cycle in order to properly support a product like this. I predict this will be a short lived initiative.
Well the thing about NFP is that it isn't limited to a single game series.
It will be used across a wide variety of games and genres and may even be used for a majority of games coming from Nintendo.
