I believe the surprise is a 3rd party game for this year. Overwatch is my guess.
Rumors from where?
SMD also said the nx wpuld be 4k and more powerful than the ps4 pro. He doesn't have credibility.I can't remember what the original source was, one of the people who have thrown out stuff in the past...but I can't remember who.
Supermetaldave maybe? He was the dude who originally predicted/leaked the two metroids rumour.
EDIT: Looking at his YouTube vids, he has some videos about it (haven't watched them) but I'm not sure if he was the original guy who said it.

There was nothing in 2015.They always release big games the week before Black Friday, its been known as Nintendo days around here, even.
My money is on Smash Switch, Pokemon USUM, and one more new unnanounced title to complement them, pipe dream would be Animal Crossing Switch to coincide with the mobile phone game.
FE Warriors, Xenoblade 2, Skyrim or the SNES classic could all fit in the slot for that Friday. Realistically once you look at how many weeks are left between the start of October and early December, and knock off two for Pokemon and Mario Odyssey, there's only so many slots left and several products without release dates.
My money is on both Skyrim and the SNES Classic.
this is a 2 month old thread
I cant bother to check if this is true so far but sounds reasonable.Games never come out Black Friday week. Everything else is discounted that week so putting out a full price game is a great way to get ignored

When's the next Direct?
There was nothing in 2015.
Im confused by this thread. Do games usually get released on Black Friday, or the week of?
Nintendo almost always has a game either that week or one of the surrounding weeks. This year they have nothing announced so far for Switch in November at all.
There was nothing in 2015.
Bayo 3 boys
Fair enough, I reckon it'll be Skyrim then. Broad enough evergreen appeal to sit in the slot, people are still buying it six years after launch. The OP is from June; SNES Classic releases on September 29th.
