An attempt by a Texas company to sting Nintendo for an alleged patent infringement with its DS design has been dismissed.

CVG reports that in 2009 Wall Wireless LLC tried to sue Nintendo regarding one of is wireless communication technology patents.

However, some five years later both the Japanese Patent Office and the United States Patent and Trademark Office have ruled in Nintendo’s favour.

"Nintendo vigorously defends patent lawsuits and other proceedings when we believe we have not infringed another party's patents. It does not matter where such cases are filed or if it takes more than five years to vindicate our position. Nintendo continues to develop unique and innovative products while respecting the intellectual property rights of others."

Sue me if old.

If Iwata gives you the choice of either the ninjas or the lawyers, pick the ninjas. They'd make it quick.

Wonder how long those recent phillips suits will take.
