One man was arrested when a large group of motorcyclists, dirt bikers and quad riders brought Times Square to a halt over the weekend as they performed tricks in the middle of one of the city’s busiest intersections, police said.
Videos posted to social media show the group of around 30 people doing “donuts” and “burnouts” at the corner of Seventh Avenue and 47th Street as pedestrians tried to cross the street around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.
A large crowd of spectators gawked at the bikers’ stunts until some cops approached and tried to break up the chaos.
A cop can be seen grabbing the arm of one of the men and running alongside his motorcycle for several feet until the rider finally stops.
Christian Ruiz, 22, was charged with disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment and obstruction of governmental administration.
