Well..... It's puzzling that they don't but they do have the women league in UFC. I would hope they would try but I'm sure they won't. This of course is pulling teeth for them.
I don't think some of them canJust a note: You can rationally discuss the merit of this without making sexist jabs at women.
Who are you, and why does your inability to name a female player mean it's pointless to give this a try?
They play in separate leagues. You wouldn't see female teams matching up against male ones.It sounds cool and all, but idk if people really want that.
I mean the best woman teams would have to be worse then the worst men teams if they wanted to retain any realism.
if i can't name any player, Why Bother?
because most of football fans buy football games to play with their favorite football teams and football players.
maybe i'm the only one who does this?
I had no idea Handball was a sport. Like, I've played Speedball, and now it's existence makes way more sense, but I had absolutely no idea it was based on a real sport. I thought it was just supposed to be a made up mashup of rugby and soccer.
That's the only female player I knowi can't name any female player... Ronalda?

semi-related on-topic: Do any of these other sports games include female leagues? I know the NBA games don't have WNBA teams.

I can't name a single NFL player, so I guess EA shouldn't bother with those Madden games either. Who's this Madden guy, anyway?
(Seriously, I have no idea)
I do wonder whether this is a situation where an untapped market hasn't been found, or perhaps more likely the market isn't given a chance to form BECAUSE "it's not there."That's not the case though.
Do you think a company like EA would turn down free money, if there was a huge mass market for women's video game soccer?

Hrmm... a billion crazy Fifa fans are still going to buy their annual update regardless. They should start adding a mode that has some of the women's teams and see how it goes.
People are gonna call you sexist, asshole and all that but...The new Goalkeeper intelligence thing for Fifa 15 would be a total waste of time as female goalkeepers are comical.
This game killed ay hope for the future
I'm not against having female football players but it doesn't make sense for EA to add this if it will be played by only a small pourcentage of their userbase.
Considering how they gradually have been adding smaller leagues and teams for the sake of completness and broad appeal I could see them one day add womens fotball. Hopefully sooner than later even if I personally wouldn't be using those teams like I don't play with say asian or scandinavian teams.
Would be a complete waste of time...Outside of Hope Solo and Alex Morgan, even the biggest football fanatics would have trouble naming any other female player.
They're better off putting the resources into something more useful.
If that's true, then I'm not sure why adding smaller leagues and teams with far fewer fans than the big ones is okay but adding some women's teams who also have far fewer fans than the big ones is not.
at least the game would run better, because they wouldn't have to waste resources rendering a crowd

I wouldn't say that. I don't follow women's football that much but I can name quite a few female players, especially German ones. The wide-spread success of the German Women's National Football team and Women Bundesliga clubs on the international stage led to some female players like Birgit Prinz becoming quite famous here. Of course it doesn't compare to men's football but the US is not the only country where Women's Football is quite big.
Well, mostly because you can recycle models and animations with minor custom tweaks to create those additional teams (which is why even modders can add them) while adding female teams would require entire new body models, animations, facial features and so on.If that's true, then I'm not sure why adding smaller leagues and teams with far fewer fans than the big ones is okay but adding some women's teams who also have far fewer fans than the big ones is not.

This sounds like a good angle for Pro Evolution to include and advertise. Even if the player likeness isn't amazing, this could be a good niche market considering how huge Soccer is worldwide.
I'd say that even the smaller national league would have a lot more fan than all of women soccer.
Let the concern about resources to EA.Absolutely no need for this. Wasted time and resources.
Add WNBA teams to NBA Live while you are at it. It would be like the perfect inverse of NBA Jam
