Bloodboorne all over again
At least its not worse than BB
You guys are funny. Unpatched Bloodborne's load times were 30-40s, iirc. ReCore is literally 4x worse.

Gameplays I've been watching say that's not true.He says it happens every death and entering into new areas

Did they nail it? Porting UE4 to WiiU that is? Not in the loop on this, sorry.Guys, this is from the studio tasked with porting UE4 to the Wii U. Think about that.
Loading times for the singleplayer are fine, it's GTA Online that has the issue. The loading time for GTA V is why I've barely played it.
Pretty sure it's UE4It's a Unity game, right? They're always awful on consoles.
We don't know yet. Basically, it seems like a very very difficult task and I have a hard time believing they'll achieve good performance. We shall see but Recore's issues certainly cast additional doubt.Did they nail it? Porting UE4 to WiiU that is? Not in the loop on this, sorry.
Gut reaction says hell no from your post but I might be reading into it wrong.

Longer loading times than desirable maybe, but not even close to 2 min.
I wonder if that's getting cancelled after this and the year long delay of Bloodstained.Guys, this is from the studio tasked with porting UE4 to the Wii U. Think about that.
Okay, this statement is pretty much bullshit. The context is absolutely one of the things that matter most in most any situation. The fact that you have this mindset shows just how people eat up these shit topics that don't involve much discussion. I mean, this threads first post is only 2 words "pretty neat". It's nice to have a good joke thread in awhile but this thread is pretty much "hey look at this thing we can shit on!".
2 min is unacceptable for load times and we should be upset if this is the standard. But that tweet and this thread provides no context that it is.

Meh, long startup isn't a big deal of the rest of the game is quick. Particularly when you can use suspend/resume.Once you're in the game, sure. But the startup takes forever.
Not saying this is true because again, no context posted in this thread, but playing on a faulty or underperforming HDD/storage device?Okay, you tell me when 2 minutes is okay given the context.
I'm almost positive I had longer load times in Witcher 3: Blood and Wine when spoilersI don't think I've ever seen a 2+ minute loading screen.

But what if ReCore is the next Bloodborne in terms of dying? oh ho ho hoBut you'll die 10x more often in Bloodborne! Ho ho ho
I'm just gonna rent it and play it on easy. Long loading times is my biggest gaming pet peeve.
If the thread is misrepresentating the game by showing a statistical outlier I can see why people would be upset. If loading screens like these are normal, then it's a legitimate issue with the game. Something we won't know until more people get to spend time with the game.
I highly doubt I'll see similar loading times on my XB1 because I'll have the game installed on my external SSD. Karak is reporting much shorter loads on his 7200 RPM external drive.
Quoting for visibility:
Is it so hard to go to youtube and search some gameplay?
Those statements about 2 min loading times are false.
What about a game so difficult it won't load until the next day when you die.
Are you not getting the point of my argument? His could be! That could be the context and that's why context matters! Theres also other contexts that could go either direction, positive or negative (like if he was actually playing on the fastest SSD on the market and still getting these load times). Like I said if it is standard then it should be called out on.So the stock HDD is faulty or underperforming?
Yea this Is nowhere near as bad as bloodborne. You guys are funny. Unpatched Bloodborne's load times were 30-40s, iirc. ReCore is literally 4x worse.

I see where you're coming from. This would also make sense. We'll know for sure soon enough once most people get their hands on the game and report on load times. Are you not getting the point of my argument? His could be! From watching the stream of Recore I don't see that 2 minutes...but I do see the 30-40 seconds...granted dying doesn't happen often (regenerative health).

He also said the same happens with area transitions. That's why I think this issue is unique to this user. Every other gameplay video and footage shown didn't have this issue.
Pretty sure it's UE4

Over two minutes, shit. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't certification come with load time requirements?
Recore was rental tier before, but the parade of bad looking gameplay and stuff like this might push it into "wait and see rent mode" which is a pretty sad rating.
Okay, do you not realize the problem with this bolded statement and the point I am trying to make regardless of how I feel about the game? (Btw this is more about me ranting about these type of threads than defending the game)But you don't know that. You can't make assumptions that you have no idea what the conditions are. If his HD really was faulty or in danger of failing, he would have a lot more problems than just loading times.
The fact that you went to the extreme end case to justify 'the context' shows you're reaching badly to defend against footage that puts the game in a bad light.
It's not your job to defend this game. You just have to decide if you want to buy and enjoy this game.

I also said underperforming because that is a different context and HDD/SSDs can underperform under certain context.
