But ah-nee-may is the correct pronounciation.
I'm pretty sure it's ah-nee-moo.

The Majora episode was similarly unfocused. I feel like the game wasn't even really talked about before it was time to go. It seems like "micro" episodes that aren't personal experience stories (Like the awesome TI microcomputer episode) just don't work.
I hated the Valis episode, mainly because of Shane "Um, Actually" Bettenhausen and Christian "I'm going to ignore what you just asked me and talk for 5 minutes about something else" Nutt. Having them both on the show together turned the whole thing into a mess.
I probably should have made it clear that the Majora's Micro was really intended to be "The Case for Majora's Mask" rather than a proper podcast about the entire game. Though I will say you should adjust your expectations for the off weeks, since the limited scope of each episode means that we can't go into as much depth as we can with the 90-minute ones.

Felt the exact opposite. Loved hearing both of those guys. They are both simultaneously passionate and knowledgeable about what they talk about, and as opposed to many of the modern retronauts episodes, didn't just sound like a rundown of the Wikipedia page of Game X. Hope Shane and Christian are invited back on soon.
This. I have no idea what the hell Valis is but I found the episode to be midly entertaining because of Shane and Christian and how in depth they get. Reminded me of the Phantasy Star episode just not as good.Felt the exact opposite. Loved hearing both of those guys. Bob, I think the Majora's mask micro wasn't as good because it felt like you wanted it to be a "real" longer episode, but you had in mind that this should be a shorter one.
Maybe you should try something like Jeremy's? I don't mean the same personal anecdote-history lesson approach (those are great, by the way), but something recorded by yourself while not in the studio with other persons.
We've been warned that the off weeks would be experiments, so maybe you should...experiment more?
Be assured that if we hate it, you'll know it
Maybe do Majora's Mask AFTER the new version comes out so more people can be experienced with the game. I mean it's 2 months away... What's the friggin' rush?
Even talking about one of his favorite games Bob found a way to turn it into a brief checklist and move on podcast. I know it was a micro episode but you can still go in depth about a game in 30 minutes.
I'm including five seconds of the brown note in my episodes every time the word "Wikipedia" is mentioned in this thread

Retronauts Micro Episode 5: 30 Minutes of Brown Note
Would download just because it has the Retronauts name on it.
That's touching and also gross
I have every one of the episodes downloaded and stored on a backup hard drive. It may be gross, but it would be in the spirit of completionism!
Did you listen to the entire thank you episode in the spirit of completionism?
Did you listen to the entire thank you episode in the spirit of completionism?
I did. There are three or four jokes!
Perhaps I should change what I said from the spirit of completionism to the spirit of preservation. I have all the podcasts downloaded, BUT I did not listen to the entire thank you episode. I am now ashamed.
Sadly, I've lived long enough to see myself become a villain. There are no more heroes.
I would pay good money to have Ray's No more Whopper's buddy Alex read out the whole list as he does for people who like their Podcast on Facebook.I also did.
Dissapointed that Ray didn't butcher my name.
I can't use Patreon due to my bank flagging it as suspicious every time I try so I'm a little sad to see three micro episodes in a row
Come on, man, even Retronauts need holidays.
I think there was even a PlayStation game to that effect.

Bob I just finished listening to the Chun Li episode (which was awesome, I kept cracking up on the walk home from work) and you really need to go watch Zoolander, like, right away.
sorry if it's answered before. but whats the protocol on taking about patreon episodes before they're released to everyone. ?
cool. thanks. From a NeoGAF perspective I don't see any problem with it.
Ray has put up the final issue of his midzine, Scroll:
SCROLL 12: Introducing MSX
$4.99 for the PDF (via direct purchase or Magcloud), $22.99* for the Print copy (via Magcloud), and there's three cover variants (Blue, Red, Green).
*Note about the Print price (since this inevitably comes up): Magcloud takes a cut of 20 cents per page, and this double-sized issue comes in at 104 pages, so only about $2.19 of the Print version's price goes to Ray.
