I'm actually starting to think they actually see him as royalty. King Cruise, the lord and saviour of the Church of Scientology.

Ironically, I live in Silverlake Los Angeles, which is very close to this building:

It's like a palace...and to make it ever weirder, the grounds are almost always deserted.

Goddamn... that looks unreal...

there are some weird and disturbing yet still very hilarious articles about tom cruise and scientology in the cruise & holmes divorce thread. for example, cruise was seen training himself to move physical objects with the sheer power of his mind.

Hey there is nothing wrong with that. I try to move objects with my mind all the time. It just shows he has an active imagination.

Par for the course for a scientologist in the high OT levels. He's not unique in doing this, it's what you're supposed to be able to do as an OT. You're supposed to be "at cause" over "MEST" (Matter, Energy, Space and Time)

I was under the impression that everyone knew that this sort of thing has been going on in Hollywood and the world of showbiz since the 1940's and continues today.

For example I know for a fact that there is a certain young female American singer who is gay and her management team make sure that she's seen with other famous in the closet men to keep the illusion of heterosexuality going.

But behind closed doors she is quite happy to live a gay lifestyle with her management team happy for her.., as long as she keeps it all quiet and away from the public.

It's almost like toddler play dates among young mums. You bring your gay client over and I'll bring over mine and they get chat and if they hit it off (in a platonic way) they can 'date' for a few months.

what taylor is gay wtf no way...
if so sad for the boys good for her though... she be gorgeous.....

For the longest time, he would rarely give a full smile or he'd only show a smile at a 3/4 angle or cant his head at at angle. His publicists would run around like demons if anyone caught him dead-on. It wasn't until after he'd had some serious cosmetic dentistry done that he'd give a smile without there being a lot of drama.

Another OMG yahoo article today:

Church responds to Paul Haggis who is a friend of Boniadi:

The Church of Scientology responded to Haggis' letter with a statement of its own, in which a spokesperson labeled him as "a status obsessed" traitor who is merely using his former religion to "grab headlines." The statement also goes on to speculate whether or not Haggis, who is married, and Boniadi are more than friends. "Did he reveal to you the relationship he was having with Nazanin Boniadi? We discovered this simply by Googling his name and hers. Here is our question: is it Paul Haggis who started a relationship with Boniadi while auditioning and casting his last film, 'The Next Three Days'? What is the motivation here?"

Wow this thing seems to be heating up. Pretty rough to accuse him of that. This girl better not speak, they have her "history", gross.

I've actually heard about this before Katie Holmes even stepped onto the scene =/

I remember some tabloid running a story on how Scientology tried to recruit Keri Russell for the benefit of Tom Cruise, but supposedly she bailed out once things started getting too weird. Supposedly that's why she got a part in MI:3 but was never again seen in anything but indie flicks.

Standard COS SP handling tactics, they have done worse things to discredit those who speak against them.

L. Ron Hubbard said:
It is totally hopeless and fatal not to be a Scientologist.. We do not find critics of Scientology who do not have criminal pasts. Over and over we prove this.. If you. are savage enough and insistent enough in your demand for the crime, you'll get the text [the evidence]. Never discuss Scientology with the critic. Just discuss his or her crimes, known and unknown. (HCO Bulletin of 27 August, 1987)
Basically the way they handle any criticism is to never address said criticism specifically, but they just dig into the critic's personal life to find anything that may make one look at the critic in a not as positive light. Here's a good recent example of them doing this to a more recent (but less famous) thorn in their side who ended up committing suicide. And if they can't find anything that will distract people from the criticism, they will flat out make shit up.

Case in point: the "who is" series of websites.. wow, those are so bad haha.

As for the accusation of them being more than friends, what does that have to do with this story? If this is true, does it change anything?

That's the OSA alright. Scientology has its own department specialising in fact finding, smearing and harrassment.

It doesn't really change anything but it opens up a few ways for them to question him as a person and to raise suspicions about his motivations for defending her. By the way Polyh3dron I was wondering, what is your history with Scientology?

Oh I'd like to tell you but I couldn't possibly. There are actually a few gay leading men in Hollywood who have 'wives' yet also openly travel with their boyfriends and introduce them to cast as crews as their 'partners'.

RE: Gay singer. If I did say something then the whole thing gets picked up by someone else and then it's picked up someone else again and they tailor it to their own needs on some celeb blog and then, as swift as the wind, it's everywhere and everyone knows.

I'm sorry but I can't say.

lmao. Definitely not gay. But I would so approve. Her and Dianna man...

But Taylor's dated John Mayer. And now she's all over that Conor Kennedy... etc., etc.

All these articles about Tom Cruise and Scientology just bounce, I don't know even what to believe because Scientology is so fucked up anything is possible. :S Poor kid has to grow up with that though. I love some of his movies and he's very likeable on film, but his life is weird as hell.

Wtf??? How is it that they can get away with shit like this? I mean, do people sign a contract with scientology that gives them the right to do this to you whenever you walk out on them?

I've never been directly involved myself but have lots of family who used to be and so I have been around it somewhat since I was really young. Paul Haggis actually happens to be my uncle and I also know Naz and her mom, I've spoken to both of them on a few occasions but was surprised by this whole Tom Cruise thing, I had no idea.

I never really paid Scientology any mind and just saw it as an eccentric new age religion and if it was helping those who were in it and they were happy, who am I to judge... until I saw that South Park episode a few years back which got me googling and then I learned just how fucked up the CoS is and has been since its inception.

Oh wow that is interesting. I hope your Uncle and Nazanin don't have their careers affected by this. I assume Tom Cruise doesn't have much power in hollywood anymore but who knows. Also be prepared for:

Tom Cruise reportedly wanted Nazanin to be more "ethnic" and have her incisor teeth filed down. What in the world? The church was looking for a "drop dead beautiful true believer" and told Nazanin she was going to save the world and would be meeting with important dignitaries. Video interview in the link

http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment...-vetted-tom-cruises-partner/story?id=17158906

Maureen Orth who is the writer of the original Vanity Fair article says she has an intense amount of detail and is confident about the article. Maureen Orth aslo gave an interview to Matt Lauer about this.

His teeth are still out of place. There was no major dental work to move his teeth over as he still suffers from the old tooth underneath the nose. Sure, he's most likely had them aligned so that the middle tooth does not protrude as much, but other that and some whitening they're the same as they've always been.

There are multiple sources, most of them on the record. Apparently the issue is out already. Tom Cruise was being "audited" for a year and the sessions were recorded. David Miscavige the head of Scientology would watch video recordings of the session and make jokes about Tom Cruise's sex life. They wanted to find the perfect girl for him. Nazanin was a smart beauty and had never had a threesome in her life which was important I guess. Reading that sent a chill down my spine, they know so many deep personal secrets. They got rid of Nazanin's boyfriend (also a scientologist) by revealing "damaging details" from his auditing sessions to her.

Until he's proven guilty, I have to give Cruise the benefit of doubt because of Born on the 4th July. I love that film so damn much.

If I could imagine a perfect world, a small part of it would have Tom Cruise's career never having gone into hyper drive. Born on the 4th of July would be by far[and away] his biggest film and he would reject the mega blockbuster route and instead search only for the character roles. And then maybe those types of films would become the blockbusters.

Just letting the mind wander here, pay no attention.

Well it's not like he is gonna ever be tried in a court, there was no crime committed. All the parties involved were willing participants and I don't think Nazanin or Tom are going to speak on this in the future. Also I think most people like Tom Cruise's career as a movie star and he always seems like a very genuine and nice guy at a surface level. He just has this other strange thing going on, it doesn't matter what he believes, we have freedom of religion, but it does matter how he acts.
