A major earthquake could easily take Portland out (not to mention Seattle)... and we're overdue.

lol with no major fault lines you will keep hearing this we are overdue line for years..

Also Rainer would have to like go nuclear to damage Seattle greatly..

The Nisqually earthquake in 2001 was the biggest one I've ever felt in western Washington. 6.8 I think.

I'd be more concerned about the volcano at Yellowstone than Rainier.

Yeah I'd be more worried about the various calderas around the West.
