Sega and Atlus have announced their lineup of playable games at E3 2019, which runs from June 11 to 13 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The following titles will be playable:
  • Catherine: Full Body (PS4) – A full-fledged remaster to 2011’s award-winning Catherine packed with all-new branching story paths, improved visuals and gameplay, brand-new music, enhanced multiplayer options, and much more. Those who play the demo at our booth can pick up a sheep-horn headband (while supplies last)!
  • Judgment (PS4) – A thrilling crime drama from the creators of the critically acclaimed Yakuza series that tells the story of private detective Takayuki Yagami and his quest for redemption.
  • Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 (Switch) – The latest in the beloved Mario & Sonic crossover series, players will be able to experience the Olympic Games events together, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch with many fan-favorite characters.
  • Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth (3DS) – The sequel to the popular Persona crossover game for the Nintendo 3DS, now featuring the Phantom Thieves from Persona 5.
Additionally, the company will have the following experiences available:
  • Sega Genesis Mini – Visitors to our booth will be able to try the Sega Genesis Mini! Take a seat in our retro-themed corner and play your favorite Genesis titles ahead of its worldwide release on September 19! Seat taken? Well, why not spend some time with our giant, functioning Sega Genesis controller!
  • Free Swag – E3 attendees can put their strength and stamina to the test with our indoor rock-climbing wall! We’ll also have plenty of swag to pluck from titles like Judgment, Catherine: Full Body, and the hotly anticipated Persona 5 Royal. We’ll even have Sega Retro T-shirts, and you don’t want to miss your chance to take one home.
  • Catherine: Full Body Experience – Attend our Catherine: Full Body Experience! Indulge in a more mature side of the expo as you sip on Catherine-themed libations, snap captivating pictures at our photospot, listen to the seductive sounds of our live in-house DJ, and get some one-on-one time with the game at one of our demo stations. We’ll also have some enchanting sheep swag (while supplies last)! While the event has already been booked up, there will be a standby line at the event. For full event details, location, and opening / closing times, please check the event page.
There may be more to come, according to the press release, which reads, “That’s not all! This is simply a taste of what we have planned for attendees when they stop by our booth during E3.”

Catherine will never get a sequel, it'll just keep being updated for forever.

Meanwhile, Overwatch, a game I expected to have legs and be updated forever, is getting a sequel.

I can't predict shit anymore.

My eyes don't work as well as they used to, but I don't see Virtua fighter 6 here.

Looking forward to Judgment on the 25th. No interest in their other games.

Persona 5 for PC pls

They don't seem to be attending this year's PC Gaming Show, so expect a quiet one on that front. When they do port Persona 5 (and I do think it's a case of when rather than if after the Catherine port), it'll probably be via another "viral marketing" effort.

I think Capcom will have a quiet one too.

It's looking like a very disappointing showing for atlus/sega this year.

No offense to judgement but we've are over flooded in yakuza/yakuza style games this generation

Where is Smt5? Bayonetta? Re Fantasy?

Can't wait to not see any of them at tgs either

Glad to see Catherine Full Body but I don't think I need to see anything more from this game. I really wanted was SMTV but I think there is very low chance of being on Nintendo, so unfortunately its going be either on TGS or their stream.

They are playing Catherine: Full Body on the Devolver Pre Pre show with an Atlus dev.

Edit Catherine over. Judgement on now.

Where are you watching this? Is there a stream?
The Sega stuff is over, the stream itself is still on and will be on most of the night. It’s called the pre pre show on twitch. (Warning it’s very messed up) Its interviews and gameplay and messed up music videos, it’s very Eric Andre like in its setup.

Thanks, I'll just wait for the main show then. A lot of those Sega streams are a little weird.

"I really wanted was SMTV" oh yea, I almost forget about that games existence. Heard they pushed back development and started over again or something so it will be a while before we see that game.

No SoR4 I'm afraid:

Given the super low-key annoncement of Panzer Dragoon remake, I'm not hopeful for that either (it was so low key that I'm still not 100% convinced that it is happening)

Looking pretty bad for SEGA at E3 at the moment. The announcement of PSO2 was killed when it is likely an MS exclusive being unavailable to Europe.

I'd be surprised if we get any exciting announcements from them (apart from the PSO2 one). I don't think they're are even going to attend the PC show later on today. The only bit of Sega news I expect is for Shenmue 3, which has a slot at the PC show.

As I said in the PSO2 thread, from Sega Europe's tweets, I'm 90% sure there will be a simultaneous European release come April. They probably just need to sort out some details. Still, I for sorry for Sega Europe. This is the second time they've been exposed to fans' ire by Sega Japan/US (the first being the VK4 announcement which didn't mention any PC port)

The PC side will likely have a surprise announcement from SEGA if they do plan on doing it. Shenmue 3 is likely going to be a crowd pleaser.

It's the third time actually, as Platinum Games did it on them for Anarchy Reigns when they delayed the release date for the West only for PG to say "But the English release is done!?!".

I am not too mad about it being delayed (or indefinitely) for Europe, but the way they did it really pissed me off. The conference at the end should have said "Available in the US, with other regions to follow", but instead MS or SEGA decided to say "Coming West 2020", and then announce on the Tweet that "Opps, Europe/Middle East/Africa will have to wait", which is a terrible PR disaster (something I am starting to think is a SEGA West trait to have on your CV as it has happened way too often over the 20+ years since the Genesis/Mega Drive, that is for another topic though).

I have looked at the tweets in that announcement, which is 50/50 split between Americans praising SEGA and Europe being very hostile. Perhaps SEGA Europe were told after the conference or something, but it's terrible messaging that Microsoft could have easily avoided and is actually typical behavior of MS not knowing how to treat European fans better, which is why the Xbox is a niche in Europe.

I am looking forward to it and I do hope I can play it somehow on a Laptop or PC but I guess the way MS or SEGA have done the announcement was going to stir up a lot of anger from fans who are already annoyed that it has taken 7 years to get this game over to the West.

All I can say about it is, they should have been clear that Europe, at this moment, is not getting it until they have a clear date on whether it is official.
