I agree, that it shouldn't been seen as some sort magical healing plant, but there are plenty of studies suggesting health benefits for some diseases and while there is not really a consensus about it being as beneficial as some studies suggest, there is still a lot of untapped potencial. Tobacco on the other hand can't be used as a supplement and can't be used medicinally.I don't think it's that different...
The chance of getting lung cancer from cigarettes on the average smoker is from 9 to 15%.
The study on weed suggests up to the same percentages. Not good odds at all.
You shouldn't put all your thought into one study. It's not as widely studied as tobacco usage.
