let's just hope half of this doesn't disappear in the final release .... :p

In terms of content and features, the game shouldn't be too far from completion by now. I doubt much, if anything, will be cut.

EDIT: Just realized this info isn't exactly new.

IGN just posted a new preview., as well as a video interview about dragons with director Todd Howard.

Some of the info is old, some is new. Here's a summary of everything in the preview, but not the video.

- Dragons appear randomly, if they see you they will come after you with physical and fire-based attacks
- You can be attacked in towns, houses and dungeons provide shelter
- They aren't easy to kill, function as optional bosses that you can run away from
- If you kill a dragon, you can absorb its soul for "beneficial effects"
- There is no limit to the number of dragons
- Creating a character has been streamlined, attributes have been removed and you only determine initial health, magicka and stamina
- There are 10 races to choose from (Orcs and Khajiit shown)
- Skill increases fill up a gauge for your overall level
- You gain a point every time you level up, which can be spent on perk-like abilities in a skill tree
- Perks compliment your skills with new abilities. One example is
a slow motion and zoom ability while using a bow
- Athletics and acrobatics have been removed, but you can sprint
- Completely reworked, more interactive inventory. You can zoom in and inspect any item in the inventory screen, and this will be used for reading books
- In the skill screen that we've seen, each star represents a perk and is an unlock node for further progression
- The skill increase notifications are flashier from an audio-visual perspective ("feel more rewarding") , and you are told how it affects your leveling
- The map is now 3D, compared to Civ V and Shogun 2
- All the footage released by Bethesda so far is from the 360 version
- Dragons roam around in the wild and can be seen flying around or perched on stone peaks
- The game doesn't pause during conversations, the conversation UI takes up "minimal space", you can learn helpful information and new quests by listening in on NPC conversations
- The information you get depends on the NPC as well as "a host of other variables", including how long it has been since you last fought a dragon
- The dynamic quests means that you might end up fighting a dragon depending on these variables
- Dragon shouts don't use magicka and have their own cool down period
- Each shout has three tiers, determined by how long you hold down the button, and a higher tier is more powerful but has a longer cool down
- "Modest" dragon shouts include
a shockwave attack called Unrelenting Force and one that slows down time to make evasion easier
- Dragon shouts unlocked later in the game will have more dramatic effects
- You can learn as many dragon shouts as you want, but how many you unlock depends on how much you explore
- You find them etched in dungeon walls, and since they are valuable these dungeons tend to have stronger enemies
- There are over 120 dungeons in total
- Dragons and Draugr (Nordic zombies) can also use dragon shouts. During these shouts, you can hear dragons speak in their own language (and occasionally in English)
- You can have two combat abilities ready at all times, and you can use any combination of weapons (including dual spells)
- Spells have a visual effect on your hands, similar to Bioshock's plasmids
- You can use spells in sequence or you can trigger two of the same spell simultaneously, which provides a different and more powerful effect (ie two healing or lighting spells will form a ball of that magic between your hands)
- There is a quick select menu that pauses gameplay and lets you choose from a "favourites" list that you can pick in the main menu
- Animation is vastly improved. Bandits "stagger and sway", and both your screen and your equipment will shake when you take a hit
