So I've Been Getting These Strange Messages From Random Accounts on PSN...

I got a few of these, one day I decided to reply and said I was 12 and the bot stopped sending messages got to give them credit for that at least. Actually haven't got anymore of those since then but my other accounts have, could be random chance but might be worth a shot if they seem to Target you a lot.

Opened my UK account yesterday to download the Knack demo and got 10 spam message notifications from the last two weeks alone. (Still confused as to why my primary account somehow manges to not get any.)

Its invitations to watch "cam girls" no shit, I got the same thing, just more annoying spam.
Reminds me of that horror story about a man that kept getting random messages on his console from a "bot" account asking him to play. The man ignored those messages and never replied. One night, the man got really annoyed by a new message that popped up while he was playing, so he replied saying the yeah, he would play with whoever was messaging him, thinking that the boy account would finally shut up. The last thing he heard was the sound of his closet door slowly opening as the voice of a young girl muttered "finally".

I set my privacy for messages to friends and friend requests to friends of friends. No more bots!

Two people sent a friend of mine on PSN the exact same message, character for character "r u busy??". PSN seems to have a bot issue, though they same to be everywhere these days.

They should implement Valve's system and require you to add at least $5 to your account or add paid PS Plus time (shouldn't be a problem, you need it to play online) to send messages to non-friends or send more than x friend requests in a short time. It killed Steam's bots - they're extremely rare now.

I got the exact same message from someone talking about they were bored and asking how old I am, a few weeks ago.
They sounded underage, so I just ignored it. I'll be sure to block them and watch for more.

I have got about 5 of them in the past 2 weeks. I just block them and move on, however the last one I got yesterday said "Hey man, you busy?" I didn't even look at the profile since I didn't recognize the name. Maybe I blocked a real person that time.
