Good to see a country setting aside money for a long-term ideological plan that won't see the results during the current administration. Someone's actually doing something right for once.
To be fair, I have no idea what's going to happen in North Korea over the next 10-20 years. I think it's possible the military will overthrow or push Kim Jong-il's son into a ceremonial position. My guess is NK will either stay the same, or there will be cautious, slow economic reform while those in charge relinquish as little dictatorial power as possible in the process.
Unification has seemed like a financially and socially unfeasible idea to me for awhile now, and I really appreciate the South Koreans' committal to reunification despite that.
It shows they really care about their people up North. =')
