I think because if they announce it too soon, people will stop buying console edition of those titles, X and X-2 are still 51 here. One thing I'm curious about is why not just announce it? Why do people have to find out about Xrd and FFVI through ratings leaks? Why did people have to discover DQH through a mistake is the Steam pop-up window? It just doesn't make much sense from a financial standpoint to be this vague about upcoming platform releases.
Yup, it takes two minutes to edit a page in Firefox or Chrome.I don't doubt that FFX PC and FFX-2 PC are happening; I just think the image isn't legitimate.
I'm going to go ahead and assume that little Steam detail was never actually on Squeenix's site. It suddenly appearing for a brief moment after the leak is just too suspicious.

FF6's steamdb page updated to "pre-release" state
EDIT: also steamcommunity is live https://steamcommunity.com/app/382900/
Final Fantasy 6 will arrive on Steam next week, December 16.
It will feature graphics previously recreated by Kazuko Shibuya, as well as updated controls and optimized active-time battle system. It also comes with Steam Achievements and Trading cards.
It will run you £10.99 / €14.49. Those who purchase during the first week of launch will also receive a 10% discount.
Yeah, other than Phantom Brave that's the one I'm most excited for in this leak.I would love to play Stranger in Sword City on PC.

Looks like it's the iOS port with the terrible sprites. Ugh. If there's a toggle for the original sprites I'd buy it.

damnit I just bought FFXHD because I thought it wasn't coming ;_;
Whatever was only $9 lol
Don't worry its not despite what this thread says. The box itself says Only for Playstation. It may come to PC in a few years but no time soon.

Have you read anything said in this thread?
Or is this a shitty drive-by.
Eh skimmed the thread here and there but I won't believe it until there is an actual steam link.

wow what a list
The whole "need a PS4 for Japanese games" has very quickly becoming moot.
It's not that crazy since Spike Chunsoft even said that they were looking into bringing their games to pc.What a time to be alive. Still can't believe it. Danganronpa... On Steam.
Seeing that actually made me laugh.I like how Half Life 3 is casually in the middle of the list. lol
It might be. People are known to debug pages or something to see stuff that isn't posted on the real site yet.
Wasn't that how the PS4 version discovered on the store?

If Square puts FFX on Steam before my Winter break is over I will be ecstatic. I bought it on PS4 last year but never bothered finishing X-2, as I assumed it would be coming to PC anyway.
Square is getting so close to having the whole series on Steam, and that is fantastic.

I just opened the OP for the first time and was kind of blown away.
Japan really starting to get into Steam.
Is there a chance for KH games to come to steam? for once I want to play KH 2 at 60fps
Yeah I am glad that they are no longer tied to the vita hopefully the sales of danganronpa( it will probably sell well, it's not a graphically intensive game so there will be low system requirements) will make them more open with pc to their other franchises and future games.i think it's pretty cool how fast the turn around for it was
given that's its already localized games nisa is probably publishing as well
Some japanese crap.

With FFVI being so close to Lightning Returns, it makes me think if FFX is coming it might be sooner than I expected. I was figuring like march at earliest, and January for FFVI. But if they're willing to release ports one after the other, seems like they're not too worried about timing for some of them.

Yeah, what a great time to be a PC gamer. I'm so happy I invested in a good graphics card.
