Huge Japanese tourney going on now:
English: https://www.openrec.tv/live/ByJy9hePkj1
Japanese: https://www.openrec.tv/live/KioojBuk_qh

RAGE tourney with pretty much every big name in attendance + Poongko.

3-4 different big tourneys going on at once is probably why SF5 is not at Sai.

Why aren't those events in the front page of eventhubs and srk. Evethubs makes articles of single quotes from months old interviews and other useless stuff and doesn't post info about asian events smh. Nothing about Evo Sai either.

Its funny that kappa is a better place to get info for tourneys/events than fgc centric sites

It's not click-bait so they won't feature them I'm afraid. It's called EventScrubs for a reason lol.

USD left and no one picked up the ball after him is what happened.

I submitted it to both SRK and EH.

No response.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But, this is legit a premier tier tourney with the level of talent involved.

Found a software called peerblock. What it does is block a countries IP address. So far I've only fought against people here in the US. It's not perfect, you still face people with slower internet because America. I'm not sure it will work on the PS4.

Reminding yourself that you're playing to learn first and win second is a great way to keep the blood pressure down, especially when people exploit annoying, cheap tactics.

So what did you learn from getting hit by an overhead into V-trigger into death combo by Balrog?

From that, I learned that I'm not going to win easily and that the whole roster is at the same disadvantage. I frees me of any wrong doing and allows me the excuse that it was out of my hands.

This is how I stay sane against Balrog.

So how do you guys learn stuff like confirming a counterhit combo? Just go into a match and try to do it as many times as possible? I feel like just putting the training dummy into random counterhit state isn't good enough practice.

Probably that everyone should just pick Balrog.

That's only one half, the other is being aware of it in game, every time you stick something with the potintial to CH you should be prepared to confirm.

Do you have random block on too? I try to use my peripheral vision to see the CH message since Capcom doesn't do hitsparks.

So pretty much do it in a match as much as possible to get used to it. Honestly I just struggle to implement anything new into my game be it combos, meaty setups and whatever. Can't even confirm off lights yet lol.

Yeah. First I do it so that the dummy blocks after first hit so I can get the timing down and once I can confirm it that way consistently I put the dummy on random block.

Just a heads up, he's done this several times in my encounter.

Counter hit makes a sound, close your eyes and try reacting to just the sound. It's not as obvious as the CC sound, but you can still react to get it for certain confirms.

I've been playing a character for over a year that relies hard on counterhit confirms for real damage and I never knew this was a thing.

When I go for counterhit stuff I already intend on doing jab > medium button. I can't really confirm off of just the jab. It's pretty easy to tell if you counterhit them and hit them with the medium though.

If I'm doing *single* hit confirms I watch at the stun bar

Ya Im the same way. Im not really confirming the CH off the first hit. I confirm it off the second hit I wouldve thrown out anyway.

I have 100,000 FM. I have never spent any. I primarily play in lobbies and offline with friends, and apparently that doesn't count as participating in the game for Capcom.

I have 160k
And i already got the 1mil fm + platinum trophy for the game.

So yeah, Peerblock stopped Mexicans and a bunch of South Americans players including Brazil in the pass 10 minutes.

New CFN will do wonders.

If thy fixed the survival mode, gave out more things to buy in the store, gave 50 more for wins, and had double fm weekends it'd be perfect. But they get stingy because there isn't much besides colors and costumes, the latter of which most people only fuck with ones for certain characters. Oh but themes exist, but who cares about those lol

Edit: forgot about stages but that's not truly enough from a content perspective.
