i really don't understand why anyone benchmarks SSDs when its the interface that makes the biggest difference

if it's SATA it'll go at SATA speeds(if it can be reached) if it's PCIE, it'll go at those speeds

Basically get a Hybrid Drive. SSD doesn't have gain that is worth the cost.

EDIT: Important to note that things that are loaded frequently will load faster on the hybrid than stuff randomly accessed.

And it seems that the loading times between SSHD & SSD aren't too far off between each other. So yeah, SSHD is what everyone should go for.

People who are saying SSHDs are the best thing ever should think again. The speed of the drive is more important than HDD vs SSHD. 7200rpm HDD is better or the same as 7200rpm SSHD. The only thing that will be faster is boot up times. I'd recommend this 7200rpm 1tb HDD because it is quiet and has a 32mb buffer:

There is almost no notable difference between a 7200rpm and a 5400rpm drive on the ps4. Remember that 7200rpm = noise gets way louder, while heat goes up faster and higher

Did you get a 750gig one? I'd like a Terabyte, but the only ones I've found are 5400 Hybrids. Not sure why they don't make a 7200 Hybrid in a size greater than 750gb. The momentus got discontinued as well so it might be hard to find in the future.

If 1TB vs 750GB isn't too big of a deal for you guys I'd recommend going for the WD Scorpio Black (750GB version - Model: WD7500BPKT), it beats the Travlestar 7k1000 all day in speed:

Your link doesn't work? Interested in one of these two drives, would drop to the 750GB as it's cheaper if it is indeed faster.

There also seems to be a newer model, WD7500BPKX ? It seems to be SATA 6 in stead of SATA 3.
