6:02 am sunrise in Le Mans today according to Google. That would put dawn around 9pm Saturday night for me. Nice!

Are Corvette and Audi doing onboard streams this year? Maybe Toyota did too last year?
We'll have a better idea as to who will be offering onboard streams by next week.

I was just searching to see if Eurosport would be doing their 5 day lead up to the race and found this site (blog) that has a nice list of the viewing options available.

Oh wow, I didn't realize that was the blog of the director of the Revs program at Stanford University.

Has it ever been? I can recall reports from more than 10 years ago that F1 had very little influence on road car tech.
It was supposed to be. I thought it a lot of the tech that was supposed to be implemented was because it was supposed to trickle down to consumer cars. Currently the only current tech that has is KERS and DRS, and that's if you consider the McLaren P1 as "consumer".

Straight in my veins, thanks. Hopefully we get some on-board 3D footage, that'd be insane.

Motorsports stuff in 3D works, too. the Close to the Edge doco on... um... that Scottish rider and Isle of Man TT was amazing.

this looks more or less identical to the german schedule. a few 24minutes times are a bit different.
+1 hour, of course

Having had the chance to drive the GT-R LM in GT6 I'm interested in seeing how Nissan's return will go.

This and Bathurst are pretty much the only motor racing events that get me excited these days.

Is there going to be an bunch of all nighters here on GAF?

I hope for the British teams & drivers to do well.

I hope that the Nissan GT-R LM NISMO teams do well especially the ones with Jann Mardenborough & Alex Buncombe who won the GT Academy competitions.

I just wish that the DeltaWing was running :(

I don't know if anyone here has seen -
Nissan GT-R LM NISMO - Jay Leno's Garage

Thanks for the link, that was quite interesting. I was not a fan of the look of the Nissan at first, but it has really grown on me, still not great when viewed dead on from the front though.

And of course great to see GT Academy winners on a big LMP1 team
