Are Corvette and Audi doing onboard streams this year? Maybe Toyota did too last year?

We'll have a better idea as to who will be offering onboard streams by next week.

Has it ever been? I can recall reports from more than 10 years ago that F1 had very little influence on road car tech.

It was supposed to be. I thought it a lot of the tech that was supposed to be implemented was because it was supposed to trickle down to consumer cars. Currently the only current tech that has is KERS and DRS, and that's if you consider the McLaren P1 as "consumer".

Ford will most likely announce their new GTE GT40 entry; BMW their LMP1 plans.

yeah i read yesterday that Ford will announce that they'll compete with the new GT. Was it 2016 or 2017?

And about LMP1. That must be BMW. Rumors are that they move away engineers from their DTM program to something else. Must be WEC.

hold your horses. In an interview from a few weeks ago the head of BMW Motorsports said that he sees no reason to get back into WEC cause they have DTM and some other series.

Having had the chance to drive the GT-R LM in GT6 I'm interested in seeing how Nissan's return will go.

This and Bathurst are pretty much the only motor racing events that get me excited these days.

Thanks for the link, that was quite interesting. I was not a fan of the look of the Nissan at first, but it has really grown on me, still not great when viewed dead on from the front though.

And of course great to see GT Academy winners on a big LMP1 team
