Oliver and Spike looks interesting. Hadn't heard of that before.
Didn't know Rime was a platformer.
And hopefully A Hat in Time turns out good.
Some of these look pretty bad, though.
I think I'll hold off on saying a renaissance is happening until we have three or four good ones that are actually finished and available to play.

Eh, none of these look like they would compete with the likes of Banjo/Crash/Mario/Spyro of the hey day, are any of them actually legitimately amazing?
Spoilers --- I just played it... not that great..
How many of them are actually good

Why does everybody forget Lobodestroyo when listing new 3D platformers?

OP don't have Hat In Time or the Banjo Spiritual thing ... it is not a catch all =P
Cautiously optimistic with most of them .... it is not an easy genre to get right =x

The one with prices are released. Some in the OT are saying that Grow Home is their favorite game of 2015 so far. Cloudbuilt is solid and fun tooHow many of these are actually released? Or good?
Don't get me wrong, I am totally on board for a 3D platformer renaissance. But it seems like we are still in the early stages. Ironically, 3D-platformer games in the indie space have a lot of developing to do. Sigh, and unless I build a PC, I won't be able to do comfy couch 3d-Platforming as is should be.

Now somebody make a new Tomb Raider game in the same style of the original. Control scheme and all.
This. Compare the number of classic 3D platformers to 2D. I think it's much easier to screw up and much harder to make great.

You know it's true.
3D platforming does present some massive design challenges compared to 2D though and it's easier to screw upI think this is just a reflection of market realities rather than popularity to be honest; big publishers don't want to make these games, and middle tier publishers are all dead, which leaves it all to indies, and it's only been fairly recently that good quality 3D tools and engines are at an indie affordable price tag.

It's fantastic and there's no Uplay. We should be supporting their smaller-scale stuff like Child of Light and Valiant Hearts which were also fantasticGrow Home looks cool, but it's made by Ubisoft. Don't really feel like giving them money.
